Rhaenyra had practically stomped back to the tent and toward her father upon realizing he was trying to marry her off to Jason Lannister. Viserra had tried her hardest to keep up with the girl, which proved to be difficult.

"Is that what I am to you?" Rhaenyra spoke up, interrupting the conversation Viserys had been in the middle with Shaera.

Shaera turned her head in concern, seeing how angered Rhaenyra looked. Viserra hid behind her cousin, a part of nervous of what was yet to occur.

"A prize to proffer about to the great houses?" Rhaenyra asked angrily, staring up her father.

"You're of age, Rhaenyra," Viserys reminded his daughter, moving closer to her, "And Jason Lannister is an excellent match."

"He's arrogant and self-serious," Rhaenyra complained and Viserys groaned in annoyance. It was like arguing with Shaera all over again.

Women in their times had no choice in who they married and yet, Viserys was surrounded by women who were a thorn in his side, girls who believed they had a choice.

"Well, I thought you might have that in common," Viserys pointed out, speaking in a hushed tone, "Since you came of age, I've been slowing drowning in a lake of parchment flung from every corner of the realm. Marriage proposals, all. I have tried often to discuss it with you, but you've refused me at every turn."

"This is because I do not wish to get married!" Rhaenyra shouted at her father angrily, much to Viserys' annoyance.

"Even I don't do not exist above tradition and duty, Rhaenyra!" Viserys screamed, glaring down at the girl. He scoffed, shaking his head as he pointed toward Shaera, "Your Lady Aunt pulled this same ordeal with me. Don't think me naive, you will marry. I will not deal with this foolishness a second time--"

"Brother," Shaera quickly spoke up, rushing to grab her brother's arm to gain his attention.

Viserys whipped himself around, on the verge of yelling at his sister. He assumed she'd take Rhaenyra's side, just as she always did.

Instead, Shaera sighed and gestured around at everyone staring at them. He and Rhaenyra were making a scene.

"Might not be the best time to do this," She reminded her brother and Viserys sighed, clearly feeling embarassed.

He turned to Rhaenyra slowly, forcing himself to calm down. "You must marry," He demanded and Rhaenyra sighed, staring up at her father.

"What of Rhaegon?" Rhaenyra spoke softly and Viserys only laughed at such words.

"Rhaegon is not coming back, Rhaenyra," Viserys complained as if what Rhaenyra had asked was the craziest thing he had ever heard, "Not if he knows what's good for him. You must rid yourself of such childish dreams."
