That night, Daena had returned to the Red Keep far earlier than she usually did. She immediately traveled to her children's bedroom, taking a seat near the window as she held Baelon in her arms to feed him.

Her expression was blank as she stared at the sky above her, a part of her wondering if Daemion had arrived at Dragonstone yet. She knew he'd waste no time traveling there to warn the Blacks of what had occurred.

She jumped in fright when she felt someone placed their hand on her shoulder. She glanced up and relaxed when she found it to be Aegon. "You should learn how to knock," She complained, quick to fix her dress after breastfeeding Baelon.

"I called your name multiple times," He corrected her, eying her in concern.

She didn't respond and rose from her seat. She pressed a kiss to Baelon's forehead before placing him back into his cradle.

Aegon rolled his eyes, watching her move toward the door to leave. She did it to Aemond and Aegon often, despite it being her room she was leaving. It should've been the other way around.

Aegon huffed and rushed to follow her, nearly being hit with the door on the way out.

She said nothing as he trailed behind her until she reached her room. She glanced up at him briefly and entered her room, Aegon quick to join her.

"Are you going to say anything?" Aegon questioned, frowning as Daena moved toward her bed.

"Where is there to say, Aegon? You're the King now," She reminded him and stared at the floor as she removed her shoes, "After I begged you not to go through with it."

"And yet you were so quick to save my life," He retorted in a taunting tone and moved toward her. He stopped when he was standing in front of her, his knee moving her thighs apart.

"I will never forgive you for what you did, but love doesn't just disappear," Daena reminded him and Aegon seemed pleased with the answer.

Her eyes locked with his, Daena reached for the skirt of her dress, teasingly sliding it upward. She grabbed his hand and placed it on her breast, smirking slightly. She kept her gaze on him, her eyes almost doe-like as she ran his hand down her body.

Aegon glanced up at her, a part of him intrigued by her actions as she stopped his hand just below her abdomen. He watched her smirk down at him, which gave his answer of what she wanted. He nodded slightly and it was only seconds before Aegon's mouth found its way between her legs.

Daena moaned softly, her head tilted back as she felt Aegon's tongue at her clit.

She stared up at the ceiling, looking almost bored by the whole ordeal. She glanced downward at him, running her hands through his hair. "Have you been to the fighting pits in Flea Bottom?" She suddenly spoke and was quick to notice how Aegon had paused for a brief moment.
