Sometimes, persistence can be a good thing. Other times, it can be downright annoying. And in this moment, it was definitely annoying. I opened the door, half-expecting to see a delivery or maybe one of the neighbors, but instead, it was Alexis standing there.

"Do I need to file a restraining order against you?" I said.

She didn't flinch. "Is Bianca here?"

Before I could respond, she added quickly, "Jude, I'm calling the police."

That stopped me in my tracks. "What?"

"If it weren't serious, I wouldn't be here. I have proof you could be in danger and proof I was endangered. Please, just hear me out. After that, I promise I'll leave you alone."

I looked at her, really looked at her. Alexis hadn't been the same since our breakup. There was something different in her eyes, a fear that hadn't been there before. I didn't want her anywhere near me, not after everything that had happened, but something in her tone—or maybe just the look in her eyes—made me hesitate.

Against my better judgment, I stepped aside and let her in. "Make this fast," I muttered.

She walked into the living room and took a seat on the couch, her hands fidgeting in her lap before she took out her iPad. I sat down across from her, keeping my distance. My phone buzzed on the coffee table, and I glanced at the screen. "It's Bianca, returning my call," I mumbled.

The look on Alexis's face shifted to one of pure terror. I'd never seen her like this before. Her skin had gone pale, and her eyes widened, locking onto the phone as if it was some kind of weapon.

"What the hell is going on, Alexis?" I asked, my voice more demanding now.

"I-I'm sorry, Jude, I didn't want to come here. I know how it looks, but I'm telling you, there's something really wrong." Her voice was trembling, and she looked down at the phone.

I placed my finger to my lip indicating I needed her silence so I could answer.

"Hi, baby," Bianca said the second I picked up.

"Hey, how's it going where are you now?" I said trying to keep my tone as casual as possible.

"Smoothly, Italy I have a meeting soon," I replied. " also better than I expected. They all seem interested, so I'm just giving them time to think."

"I'm so proud of you," I said, and I truly was.

"Thank you, I wouldn't be doing this without you" she said. "How is it going there?"

"Aside from missing you, I'm here packing my gym bag. I'm going to Vini's house to use his gym. I was calling earlier check in, alright? I'll talk to you later. Love you."

"Okay, cool. I love you too," she said before ending the call, I hope it wasn't too obvious I didn't want to stay on the call.

"She's out of the country" I started, "Alexis what's the issue and this needs to be fast because I'm getting very tired of this" I said, she looked like she hasn't slept for days, she looked a bit rougher than her usually well put together self, I had no idea what she was coming with.

I watched as she tapped on her iPad before coming to where I sat, I shifted uncomfortably as she sat beside me.

"Remember how Bianca had no idea who you were or no idea or clue about sports?" she said clicking a file titled "Lying ass Bitch" which made me shake my head.

"Then why are there multiple pictures of her at your games at Real Madrid, before she met you" she said swiping I looked at each picture completely unfazed however when she reached pictures of her at my Dortmund games it got a little weird.
