Song: We Belong Together - Richie Valens
Word Count: 1520 (made this longer for you guys)
One evening, as she sat alone in the library, tucked in the corner of the room, Mattheo found himself seated a few tables away. Y/N was engrossed in her studies, her delicate fingers turning the pages with a grace that made his heart race. He had been following her around for months, and though he had never spoken one word to her, he felt as if he knew her better than anyone else. Her favorite foods, the perfume she wore, the sound of her laughter when she spoke to her friends-it all belonged to him in some twisted way.
That night, at that moment, something shifted in him. The hunger, the need, became unbearable. He could no longer be satisfied by watching her from the shadows. He needed to possess her to make her his.
As Y/N finished her meal in the dining hall and left for her dorm, Mattheo followed. The halls were surprisingly empty, and the only sound was the soft click of her heels against the pavement. He kept his distance, his breath shallow, his heart racing and pounding in his chest due to the anticipation of know she was to be his soon. She turned a corner into the direction of her dormitory, and he quickened his pace.
It was then when she paused, as if sensing something was wrong. She glanced over her shoulder, her eyes scanning the softly illuminated hall before her. Riddle froze, pressing himself against the old-bricked wall. He could feel the adrenaline surging through his veins, the excitement of being so close to her, yet unseen. It was amazing how he wasn't caught; just one split second and she would have seen him. Waiting for her to carry on, Mattheo calmed himself, taking deep slow breathes.
Y/N hesitated for a moment before continuing on her journey back to her safe, warm, bed that waits for her. She walked a little faster now due to the odd feeling she had seconds ago. But Riddle? Well, he was motivated and undeterred. He had waited too long for his moment. His fantasies, his desires, were all about to come true.
He followed her until she reached her dormitory. Watching her fumble over the words to get inside her designated house; seeing how unfocused and almost frantic she was. Riddle then watched as she disappeared inside, the door closing behind her, feeling the weight of his obsession pulling him forward.
He couldn't stop now. He wouldn't.
The following day, he waited until she left her DADA class before approaching her house's entry way. He had heard the password in order to get in, and repeated in many times the previous night to make sure he didn't forget. With a strong voice, he said almost proudly, the secrets words in order to get in, and the door unlocked before him. He slipped inside and began to search for her dorm.
Her dorm was to the left somewhere, that much he knew thanks to the Marauder's Map he stole from Harry Potter and his friends. His mind racing with thoughts of what he would do once he was inside her cavern. The line between reality and fantasy blurred as he imagined her waiting for him, her body ready to be claimed.
When he reached her dorm, he hesitated for a moment, listening for any sounds inside that indicated that someone was in the room. It was quiet. He pulled out his wand, looking to his left and right once more to make sure no one was going to integrate him or bother him of what he was about to do; once he saw that no student was headed his direction he murmured, "Alohomora". In a split second, the door gave away with a soft click. He pushed it open and stepped inside, closing it behind him as silently as he could.
