The party thrummed with life, music pulsing in the air, lights flashing over the crowded room. Y/N stood at the edge of it all, her eyes scanning the scene, her fingers absently tracing the rim of her drink. Despite the noise, the laughter, the excitement, something within her felt incomplete. It was as if the night was moving around her, but she was stuck, waiting for something—or someone—to make it truly come alive.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her friends talking nearby. Their voices cut through the haze of her wandering mind. "Seven Minutes in Heaven?" someone suggested, and Y/N's attention snapped to them. Her pulse quickened as they explained the game: two people, chosen by chance, would be locked in a closet together for seven minutes. What happened during that time was entirely up to them.
Y/N's heart gave an involuntary flutter. She'd never played before, but the idea stirred something deep inside her. A thrill of curiosity and a touch of nervous excitement raced through her veins as she imagined what those seven minutes could hold.
The game began, and Y/N stood at the sidelines, watching as one by one, her friends were paired off, disappearing behind the closet door. Each time, her pulse quickened a little more. Her mind raced with possibilities as the muffled sounds from the closet hinted at stolen moments and secret touches.
And then it was her turn.
Mattheo Riddle. His name echoed in her mind, and she felt her breath catch in her throat. Tall, broad-shouldered, and impossibly magnetic, his messy curls framed a face that was both dangerous and irresistible. She had always noticed him from a distance—the sharpness of his gaze, the way he moved with an air of quiet confidence—but never this close. Now, it was just the two of them, the room suddenly feeling smaller as their eyes locked.
He gave her a subtle, knowing smile, and Y/N felt a shiver of anticipation. Without a word, he took her hand, guiding her toward the closet. The moment they were inside, the air around them thickened with tension, charged with something electric and unspoken.
In the darkness, she could feel his presence—warm, strong, intoxicating. They stood inches apart, the silence between them brimming with possibility. Her pulse thundered in her ears as his breath ghosted against her neck, sending a tremor down her spine.
Then, in a move that left her breathless, Mattheo pulled her against him, his lips finding hers with a hunger that was undeniable. His kiss was raw, almost desperate, yet there was something more beneath it—a simmering intensity that set her blood on fire. Y/N melted into him, her hands instinctively gripping his shirt as the world outside the closet vanished.
His hands roamed over her back, pulling her closer, and she gasped softly into his kiss. Every touch sent a spark through her, every inch of space between them collapsing until there was nothing but the heat of their bodies, the taste of his lips, the rough yet gentle way he claimed her.
Her heart pounded wildly as their kiss deepened, his hands exploring her in a way that made her feel like she was losing herself in him. It wasn't just a game anymore. The way he touched her, the way their bodies pressed together, it felt like something inevitable, like they were meant to collide in this moment.
Time blurred, and after a few minutes Mattheo broke away, leaving Y/N trembling as he pressed his forehead to hers, his breath ragged. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that," he murmured.
She smiled, her heart soaring as she let herself sink into the moment. "I think I have an idea."
He leaned back, his eyes searching her. "Y/N, I..."
The sound of the door being slammed on echoed through the room, followed by voices. "Mattheo, you in there?"
"Fuck," Mattheo muttered, glancing toward the closet door. "Yeah, give me a minute!"
"Matt, get out of the closet. You've been in there longer than anyone else."
"Shut it Theo! Give me a second!" he replied.
With both of them breathing hard, staring into each other's eyes watching one another, they soon stumbled out, breathless and dazed, their hearts racing in sync.
Y/N's cheeks were flushed, her lips tingling from the heat of his kiss, her mind spinning with the intensity of what had just happened. She could still feel the imprint of his hands on her skin, the taste of him lingering in the back of her mind.
"Ooooo I see what's going on here." Theo smirked. "You got a nice once there Riddle. You willing to share her?"
"Knock it off Nott," Mattheo said sternly, facing Theodore. "Don't you dare even look at her."
As they rejoined the party, the world outside seemed distant, almost insignificant compared to the whirlwind of emotions churning inside her. Mattheo's hand brushed against hers as they walked, a fleeting but deliberate touch, and it sent a fresh wave of desire through her.
It had been just seven minutes, but it felt like everything had changed. Her heart raced at the thought of him, her mind replaying every second they'd spent in that closet. She knew it was supposed to be just a game, but there was no denying the pull between them. Every glance he gave her, every accidental touch felt like a promise of something more, something deeper.
For the first time in what felt like forever, Y/N felt truly alive—alive with the possibility of what could be between them.

I'm so sorry bout how bad this is. Didn't edit or anything, I just left it as I wrote it a while back. Lowkey probably wrote something similar to this in earlier chapters, but I'm too lazy to look at that right now.
One last chapter, and this book is officially completed!
