Prequel to Taking Over the World
The halls of Hogwarts were buzzing with excitement as the new school year began. Students filled the corridors, eager to reunite with friends and discuss the latest gossip. But this year, there was a different kind of energy–a tension that hummed just beneath the surface, sparked by the arrival of a new student.
Mattheo Riddle.
The son of Lord Voldemort.
Whispers followed him wherever he went, students casting furtive glances at the boy who bore the infamous name. He was tall, with dark hair that fell into his eyes, and a brooding presence that seemed to swallow the light around him. His very existence was a reminder of a dark past, and his name carried the weight of fear and power.
Yet, unlike his father, Mattheo didn't immediately set out to make enemies. He was quiet, observant, and kept to himself, though there was an unmistakable aura of danger that surround him. The professors watched him warily, wondering if he would follow in his fathers footsteps, while the students avoided him, too frightened to get too close.
But there was one person who wasn't afraid–Y/N Black.
Y/N, a pure-blooded witch from the notorious Black family, was no stranger to dark magic and the expectations that came with her bloodline. She had been raised in the shadow of her family's name, taught to embrace the power that came with it. Unlike the others, she saw Mattheo as not a threat, but as a kindred spirit.
The first time she saw him, she felt a connection that she couldn't explain. There was something in his eyes, a depth of darkness that mirrored her own. She was drawn to him, intrigued by the mystery and power that surrounded him. And so, while others kept their distance, Y/N made her move.
It started with a simple conversation in the Slytherin common room, where she found him sitting alone, staring into the fire. She approached him, her voice confident and smooth, unafraid of the danger he represented.
"You're Mattheo Riddle," she said, more a statement rather than a question.
He looked up at her, his gaze sharp and calculating. "And you're Y/N Black," he replied, his tone equally guarded.
A smirk played on her lips. "Looks like we have something in common, then. Two legacies of dark magic, trying to find our place in a world that fears us."
Mattheo's eyes narrowed slightly, as if trying to gauge her intentions. "And what place do you think that is?"
Y/N sat down beside him, her confidence unwavering. "Anywhere we want it to be. We're not our parents, Mattheo. We're more than that. We have the power to shape our own destinies."
He didn't respond immediately, but there was a flicker of interest in his eyes. For the first time, someone was speaking to him as an equal, not as a threat or a legacy to be feared.
Over the next few weeks, they grew closer, their bond forged in the shared understanding of what it meant to carry a name steeped in darkness. They spent hours together, plotting and scheming, imagining a future where they were the ones in control. They talked about their ambitions, their dreams of power, and the world they wanted to create–a world where they were no longer bound by their parents' shadows.
As their connection deepened, so did their feelings for each other. It was inevitable, really–a meeting of two powerful forces, drawn together by fate. They were two sides of the same coin, and together, they were unstoppable.
One evening, as they sat in the Astronomy Tower, watching the stars, Y/N turned to him, her voice soft but filled with conviction. "We could do it, you know. We could finish what your father started. But this time, we'd do it right. We'd make the world ours."
Mattheo looked at her, a slow smile spreading across his face. "And who would stop us?" he asked, his voice a whisper in the night.
"No one," Y/N replied, her eyes gleaming with a dangerous mix of ambition and affection. "No one would dare."
They sealed their pact with a kiss, a promise of power, and a shared future where they would reign supreme. From that moment on, their fates were intertwined, their paths leading them inexorably toward the moment when they would take over the wizarding world together.
But as they plotted their rise to power, neither of them could have predicted the chaos, the destruction, or the dark joy they would find in tearing down the world that had tried to hold them back. They were more than just the heirs of dark legacies–They were the future. And the world would soon learn to fear their names: Mattheo Riddle and Y/N Black.
