The sun was setting over the enchanted grounds of Hogwarts, casting long shadows that danced along the castle walls. The air was crisp, filled with the faint scent of blooming flowers and the distant laughter of students. Everything felt perfect, almost too perfect, as if the world itself had been crafted by a master artist.
In the heart of this world, a girl named Y/N stood by the Black Lake, her hand intertwined with Mattheo Riddle's. His dark eyes, deep and mysterious, held hers with an intensity that made her heart race. Mattheo, the son of Voldemort, was feared by many, but to Lily, he was something else entirely—a source of comfort, excitement, and undeniable love.
They had spent the day exploring the castle, sneaking into forbidden sections of the library, and laughing as they narrowly avoided Filch. Every moment with Mattheo felt like a beautiful secret shared just between them. They had walked through the darkened corridors, stealing kisses behind ancient tapestries, and whispered promises of forever under the glow of floating candles in the Great Hall.
"Do you ever wonder if this could all disappear?" Mattheo asked, his voice soft as they sat by the lake, the water reflecting the starlit sky above.
Y/N frowned slightly, her fingers tracing circles on the back of his hand. "Why would it disappear? Everything here is perfect, Mattheo. It feels like... like a dream."
A sad smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "Exactly, Y/N. Like a dream."
His words sent a chill through her. She looked at him, really looked at him, and noticed something different in his expression—a kind of sorrow she hadn't seen before. "Mattheo, what are you trying to say?"
He turned to her, his gaze piercing through her as if he was looking into the very depths of her soul. "Y/N, we've had an incredible time together, haven't we? Every adventure, every stolen moment, it's been perfect."
"Of course it has," she said, a sense of unease creeping into her chest. "But why are you talking like this? We have so much more to do, so many more memories to make."
Mattheo shook his head gently, his eyes filled with a deep sadness. "Baby, it's time for you to wake up."
The words hung in the air like a dark cloud, casting a shadow over the idyllic scene. "Wake up? Mattheo, what are you talking about? This isn't a dream. We're here, together. This is real."
He took her hand in both of his, holding it tightly as if trying to hold onto this moment for just a little longer. "Love, everything we've done, everything we've shared—it's all in your mind. You created this world because you wanted an escape, a place where everything could be perfect. But it's not real. I'm not real."
"No, no, you're wrong," she whispered, shaking her head. "This can't be a dream. I feel you, I see you, Mattheo, you're real."
But even as she spoke, the world around them began to change. The vibrant colors of the sky started to fade, the sounds of the forest grew distant, and the warmth of his hand in hers started to slip away.
"Y/N," Mattheo said softly, his voice growing fainter. "It's time to go back to your world. It's time to live your life, even if it's without me."
Tears welled in her eyes as she tried to hold onto him, tried to cling to the dream that had been her reality. "Please, don't leave me. I don't want to go back. I need you."
He leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "You'll be okay, Y/N. You're stronger than you know. But you have to wake up now."
With those final words, the world around her dissolved into darkness, and she felt herself being pulled away, out of the dream she had cherished so deeply.
Y/N woke up in her bed, tears streaming down her face, her heart aching with the loss of something she had never truly had. The dormitory was quiet, the morning light filtering through the curtains. Everything felt painfully normal, as if the magic of her dream had been nothing but a cruel illusion.
But as she lay there, staring up at the ceiling, she realized that Mattheo had been right. She had created that world to escape her reality, to live in a place where love and adventure could fill the emptiness inside her. And now, she had to face the real world, a world without Mattheo.
She wiped her tears away, the hollow feeling in her chest a reminder of the dream she had lost. But deep down, she knew it was time to move on, time to find her own path in the real world, even if it wasn't as perfect as the one she had dreamed.

Please don't hate me 😭 I had to end this series a certain way and I thought this would be an okay way to do it.
I hope you enjoyed my writing!
I'm sorry it literally took me like a year or something to complete this. Life got hectic and I lost my love for writing for a while. It felt more like a chore than something I was looking forward too, but I'm regaining the passion :)
Thank you all that have been here since day one. It means a lot to me 💗
Until next time :)
