The sun was setting, casting a warm golden glow over the grounds of Hogwarts. From the hill overlooking the lake, Y/N and Mattheo sat side by side, their hands intertwined, watching the gentle ripples in the water. It had been years since they were students at the castle, but somehow, every visit brought back the same flood of memories.

"Remember when we first met?" Y/N said, her voice soft with nostalgia. "Second year, right by the Whomping Willow."

Mattheo chuckled. "How could I forget? You were trying to impress your friends by getting close to the tree. I thought you were mad."

Y/N smiled, nudging him with her shoulder. "And you were the weirdly brave Slytherin who ran to pull me back then the branches started swinging. You were so serious back then."

"I was terrified," the Riddle admitted, laughing at the memory. "I thought we were both going to end up in the hospital wing. But there you were, laughing it off like it was nothing."

She leaned her head on his shoulder, her eyes fixed on the distant castle. "We were so young, weren't we? Everything seemed so much bigger back then. The castle, the world... even our dreams."

"Yeah", Mattheo agreed, his voice softening. "We head no idea what was ahead of us. But those were good times, weren't they? Sneaking into the kitchens for late-night snacks, getting lost in the Forbidden Forest—"

"---And getting caught by Snape," Y/N finished, laughing at the memory. "He was always so uptight! I bet we gave him multiple heart attacks; I'm surprised he hadn't gained gray hairs from us."

Mattheo smiled, his gaze distant as he remembered. "I think some of my best memories are from the library, sitting across from you. You'd be so focused, and I'd just watch you, trying to work up the nerve to not make fun of you for not understanding the most simplest things."

Y/N grinned. "I mean, you did make fun of me, asshole. I could tell from your facial expressions. But I am glad that's when you also told me about your feelings. And even then, it was only because I finally asked you to the Yule Ball after you scared off numerous boys who wanted to ask me."

I thought I should just make a short and sweet one since all the others are freaking longggg, so I'm giving your eyes a break.

The next one will be more of my 'normal' length again, a minimum of 500 words.

Any recommendations on what you want me to write about?

Stay beautiful <3
