Chapter 10. The Mark On Her Wrist

So so sorry, I was stuck up in a marriage function and I was unable to attend to your responses and I wasn't there to upload this chapter even though it was written long back.

Sorry, I will try my level best not to repeat this in future.

Location : Mithila forests

Karna just stares in the direction where Avika has left from. He is in a trance because of Avika. 

Meanwhile, Maharshi Goutham, who was lost in the forest because of the fog and abnormal weather conditions created by Shankasur has found his way and was heading towards Karn.

Maharshi Goutham, after reaching the place where Karn was standing was astonished!

He saw the dead body of Shankasur laying in front of him and he was dead by an arrow which was shot by Karn.

He turned towards Karna and was willing to check if he was okay or if he had any injuries.

But, guess what?!

He say Karn just staring in a particular direction with a never ending smile on his face and was not disturbed by the death of Shankasur.

If I was Maharshi Goutham, I would have definitely joined Karn in a mental asylum for smiling with no reason, but Karn would have killed me with just his one arrow... 

But guys, Karn has more important things to do, so does your author......

Maharshi Goutham called Karna's name and brought him out of his trance.

"Pranipat Maharshi" - said Karna by joining his hands.

"Putra Karna, you have finally freed us from the demonic clutches of Shankasur." - said Maharshi Goutham beaming in joy.

Soon, all the citizens, who were living nearby rushed to the source of the huge sounds.

The scene before them, baffled them.

All citizens soon started to hail Karna.

After all the hailing Karna and Maharshi Goutham headed to his ashram.

There, when Maharshi Goutham saw something or precisely some ornament attached to his angavastram.

When Maharshi Goutham observed him keenly, he saw that the ornament attached to Karna's angavastram was a hair ornament which was worn by a woman.

From then onwards, Maharshi Goutham started to give teasing smiles to Karna, but Karna did not understand why?!

Maharshi Goutham is so naughty. Right?

At the same time,

In the palace of Mithila, knowing the arrival of Karna and Maharshi Goutham in their kingdom, and the the death of Shankasur, Janaka and Sunaina invited Karna and Maharshi Goutham to stay in their palace for few days.

Maharshi Goutham and Karna accepted the offer and were heading towards Mithila royal palace.

After Avika has reached the palace, she told her family about everything except the intimacy and closeness between her and Karna.

But, Krishna didn't miss the blush on Avika's face whenever the topic of Karna has been mentioned.

"Sakhi, Do you like Suryaprasth a lot?" - asked Krishna with a mischievous smile.

"I haven't even visited Suryaprasth until now Govind, but many travellers have described Suryaprasth to be so beautiful and the king is so generous and humble." - told Avika.

"And also has a tight grip." - ended Krishna.

"What are you saying Govind?" - asked Avika clueless.

"Look at your wrist sakhi, if his hold is only this strong for you that you have got a mark , then my dear poor and physically so weak sakhi, I pity Suryaprasth Raj a lot." - said Krishna faking sadness and pity.

"Why and How is it related to me Krishna?" - asked Avika.

"Arrey, if he holds your wrist only you got a mark, then for him to have babies then, you should not go out for days for the marks to fade off or you know you can always apply some cosmetics." - explained Krishna to Avika.

"Govind......" - Avika whined.

"I don't  have any feelings on him, I want my husband to be ek patni vrath, but Ayodhya doesn't make ek patni rule mandatory right?" - asked Avika.

"So, if Karna follows ek patni rule, then, will you be okay with your marriage with Karna?" - asked Krishna.

"Govind, I know that I can't hide my feelings for a long time, that too from you, so yes I like him, but for that 'like' to be turned into 'love', I want him to be an ek patni vrath follower, but how can I know if his is ek patni vrat follower or not?" - asked Avika, blushing into deep scartlet red color.

"Sakhi! You know that Karna is invited to the palace , why don't you ask him then?" - suggested Krishna.

"Govind, It would be disrespectful naa" - said Avika.

"Okay, I leave it to you..." - said Krishna.

"But I need a help from you both tomorrow" - said Krishna in his mind.
