In the grand halls of the Ayodhya palace, the air was thick with tension. Karna's truth—his true parentage, the fact that he was not just any noble but of Kuru blood, the hidden son of Kunti herself—had shaken everyone to the core. News had traveled quickly, stirring a tempest of emotions in the hearts of those closest to him. Karna had spent his life as a beloved son of Ayodhya, cherished by his royal parents and adored by his siblings, Aditya, Achintya, and Kalyani. But now, with the revelation of his Kuru lineage, everyone wrestled with questions of loyalty, love, and the weight of blood ties.
Most people assumed that Karna would finally feel a sense of relief. The burden of secrecy had been lifted, freeing him to embrace his heritage as a Kuru prince. But that relief was nowhere to be found within him. The truth had instead become a heavy chain, binding him with responsibilities to two families. He felt torn between the family that had raised him with boundless love—the Ayodhya royals—and the newly discovered kinship with the Kurus, his blood-related family.
Karna wasn't alone in his turmoil. His father, the King of Ayodhya, and his mother, the Queen, were heartbroken. They feared losing the son they had raised, the son they loved fiercely and protectively. And his siblings? Karna couldn't bear to think of what they might feel—especially Aditya, his closest confidant and the brother who looked up to him with unwavering admiration. Karna was certain that Aditya would return from Panchal today, and he dreaded how his brother might react to this revelation.
The soft footfalls of Aditya echoed through the vast, empty corridors of Hastinapur as he returned from his diplomatic mission in Panchal. He could sense that something was wrong—there was an unusual silence, an almost haunting stillness throughout the palace. His mind raced with possibilities as he noticed the furtive, uneasy glances of the palace servants. He hurried through the corridors, his heart pounding with growing worry.
Just then, Avika, his soon-to-be sister-in-law and Karna's closest companion, approached him with a quiet, somber expression. Her usual warmth was muted, her eyes carrying a weight that only confirmed Aditya's fears. She led him to a quiet part of the palace gardens, a secluded area where they could speak without interruption. With a gentle squeeze of his hand, Avika began to recount the tale.
Her voice was soft but steady, recounting the full, surprising story of Karna's birth—how he was not the son of their Ayodhya parents by blood but rather of Kunti, the queen of Hastinapura. She revealed that Karna was a Kuru prince, the eldest son of Kunti, making him the elder brother of the Pandavas.
Aditya stood frozen, his mind struggling to comprehend the magnitude of this revelation. The Karna he had always known, the Karna he had admired and emulated, was not just a prince of Ayodhya but also a true heir of Hastinapura, with a rightful claim to the Kuru lineage. The thoughts swirled around him like a whirlwind, leaving him dazed. For so long, Karna had been his guiding light, his mentor, his beloved brother, and now the thought of him belonging to another family filled him with a deep, aching sense of loss.
"But... but he's our Karna," Aditya finally managed to say, his voice choked with emotion. His gaze drifted to the gardens, but his mind was far away, grappling with the fear of losing the brother who had always been his pillar of strength.
