The grand competition at Hastinapur, Kala Pradarshan, had attracted attention from every corner of the kingdom. Warriors, nobles, and spectators gathered in the massive arena, eager to witness the feats of strength, skill, and combat that would determine the greatest warrior in the land.
The arena buzzed with excitement, banners of the Kuru dynasty fluttering in the wind, while the royal family and noble guests sat in an elevated section, their seats adorned with fine silk and gold. Dhritarashtra, Gandhari, Bhishma, and the Pandavas, along with the Kauravas, were present, all eager to see which warrior would rise to prominence.
Karna, Avika, Subhadra, Aditya, and Draupadi had arrived together. While the atmosphere between Karna and Avika was filled with quiet determination and unspoken support, a certain spark lit within Subhadra. She couldn't help but steal glances at Karna, her mind captured by his confident aura and striking looks. Unknown to Avika, Subhadra's interest in Karna had only deepened during their journey to Hastinapur, and now, seeing him prepare to compete, her thoughts began to turn toward winning his attention.
Avika, noticing Karna's calm but intense demeanor, placed her hand gently on his arm. "This is your moment," she whispered with quiet certainty, her eyes filled with warmth. "Show them who you truly are."
Karna met her gaze and gave her a nod. "I will." His voice was resolute, though there was a flicker of affection in his eyes as he looked at her.
Subhadra, seated nearby, watched the quiet exchange between Karna and Avika. Her jaw tightened ever so slightly, but she quickly masked it with a smile. Karna's unmatched valor and strength were undeniable, and Subhadra had her own plans for him. Yet, she had never anticipated the depth of Karna and Avika's bond. Even so, Subhadra was a woman who knew what she wanted—and she wouldn't be deterred easily.
The competition was grand, featuring various events that tested the participants' physical prowess, archery skills, and combat mastery. As the best warriors of the kingdom prepared to showcase their abilities, the tension in the arena grew palpable.
The first challenge was a test of archery. Warriors would have to hit a series of increasingly difficult targets—some moving, others barely visible in the distance. Karna, known for his extraordinary archery skills, was among the most anticipated participants.
As Karna stepped into the arena, the crowd quieted, their attention fully on the warrior before them. His tall frame and shining armor made him stand out, but it was the steely focus in his eyes that left the crowd awestruck. Without hesitation, Karna readied his bow, his gaze steady on the first target. With a sharp exhale, he released his arrow, which flew across the field and struck the target dead center.
The crowd erupted in cheers, but Karna remained composed. One by one, he shot his arrows, each one hitting its mark with perfect precision. The final target, an impossibly small disc suspended in the air, was the ultimate challenge. Even the most seasoned archers had struggled with it. Yet, Karna's arrow soared through the air, striking the target as if it were the easiest shot of the day.
Subhadra's heart skipped a beat. The precision, the grace, the power—Karna's mastery over his bow left her mesmerized. She watched as the crowd cheered for him, but her eyes remained fixated on the warrior who had just captivated Hastinapur.
