soloist ryun and african-american singer, khalid, reunite after over eight years on a song from her 10th anniversary album!
on today, valentine's day, at 12 a.m kst time, ryun released her long anticipated 10th anniversary album, titled: nuclear family. the album features seven songs in total, with one of two bonus songs available on one out of two versions of the album.
the album so far has spawned two singles including the promotional track, scott & zelda, and the bonus track from the fever version of the album, titled: good years - which serves as a returning collaboration between the pair.
the soloist took to her instagram in a post to announce the collaboration, where she described the song as: "the fear of wasting what limited time you're given on this planet, on something that you'll come to realize wasn't worth it." the soloist went on to share a series of behind the scenes photos with khalid, who later shared his own posts with ryun.
the singer-songwriter duo's friendship has been a long favorite of fans for many years since their first collaboration on the 2018 track, lovely. although the pair could not meet in person for the project due to scheduling conflicts, their online interactions and social media posts about one another quickly warmed the hearts of fans. due to the success of lovely and with strong adoration from fans, it was only a matter of time until the friends paired up again for another smash hit single.
the track is set to be released as a separate single from the album next month on march 11.
