kannika's comeback with her first full album will feature her cousin, ryun, on it's title track!
this morning, at 10:32 ict time, kannika's company mx entertainment released a statement confirming her comeback with a full album and it's title track.
along with the exciting news of new music, fans of the thai artist were surprised to find that her cousin, the korean soloist, ryun, would feature on the track!
from the statement it was revealed that the title track would be named, respice finem. which has been noted for it's latin translation to mean, "have regard for the end". this had lead to much speculation on the nature of the song and what ryun will bring to it. while newer fans of the model-singer may not know what to expect, longtime fans of kannika's work won't be surprised by the name as the artist has become synonymous with experimental tracks.
kannika is a thai model and singer, who got her start as a child model and actress. she debuted in 2019 with the extended play, satin funeral for the mad man. she is currently under the korean label mx entertainment, but mainly promotes in her home country.
ryun, a paternal cousin to kannika, is a korean solo singer-songwriter under cube entertainment. she debuted in 2016 with the extended play, four seasons. she has released several popular tracks including hann(alone), palette (ft. g-dragon), stay tonight, and rover. she has also been the creative mind behind many songs from groups such as 4minute, btob, i.o.i, (g)i-dle, iz*one, clc, and the boyz.
without a name for the upcoming album, release dates, or any other promotional material at this time all fans can do is anxiously wait for more. with such talent and creativity behind the title track and album, we are just as excited as fans for the cousin collaboration!
