Tatooine. I've never been here, but I sure did hear a lot about this desert planet. There isn't much worth of note about it, beside the fact that it's a home to probably the most powerful crime lord in this galaxy, Jabba the Hutt.

"We should not keep the wise and powerful Jabba waiting." said the protocol droid as he approached us, followed by a bunch of what I could assume were Jabba's security.

They were obviously expecting our arrival, as we barely got out of our ships and they were there. A quick nod was exchanged between me and the Jedi Master beside me.

"I wouldn't dream of it." Obi-Wan said as we bowed to greet them, then we set out to follow then inside the palace. We were being watched from all around, but I brushed it off. I didn't need to be scared of a few bounty hunters, not with Obi-Wan by my side, or without him, for the record.

Silently we reached the throne room, where the green Hutt was seated. He watched us carefully approaching, as we stopped just before him. I noticed we stood on a trap door, mentally I noted to be aware and ready, but hopefully it wouldn't come to that.

We bowed deeply to show respect and then Obi-Wan began.

"Mighty Jabba, one of our most powerful Jedi is on his way to rescue your son. We will not let you down." Obi-Wan said.

Jabba began saying something in Huttese to the protocol droid that greeted us, then the droid translated: "The most gracious Jabba has one more condition. He demands you bring back the slime who kidnapped his little punky muffin." he informed us, glancing momentarily on Jabba as he said the last part, like unsure if he understood correctly. Muffin?

"Punky?" Obi-Wan asked. Now, out of the two strange names, I think punky is the more understandable, but I didn't call him out, I let Obi-Wan do his thing.

Jabba once again muttered something in Huttese, and we patiently waited for the droid to translate. "Dead or alive."

Obi-Wan looked at me with a hard stare, and although I think I'm a pretty good face-word reader, I have no idea what was that about, so I just returned it. Then Jabba spoke again.

"If you do not succeed, Count Dooku and his droid army will." the droid said.

"The Republic will not disappoint you, mighty Jabba." Obi-Wan assured the Hutt. After this, we were led out of the room, so Jabba would have some space to decide what he wanted to tell us, and so we used this time to contact Anakin.

"All right Anakin, here's the story. Jabba has given us only one planetary rotation to get his son back home to Tatooine safe and sound." Obi-Wan explained, huddled in his cloak. I don't know how he does it, I don't have a cloak and the sweat is running down me like a damn waterfall.

"Won't take us that long, Master." Anakin answered, rocking front and back with the ship he was standing in.

"Well, take extreme care. We have no idea who's holding Jabba's son. When I've finished negotiations with him, we will join you." Obi-Wan informed, gesturing to himself and me as he did so.

Anakin just nodded, and ended the transmission. I turned to Obi-Wan.

"It's going pretty well, so far." I hummed, eyeing the guards in the room with us.

"Well, they don't call me the Negotiator for nothing." he smiled cockily, patting my shoulder.

"Let's hope you can live up to that name then." I shook my head, stepping closer to the door, when more guards came to tell us Jabba is ready to speak with us again.

It didn't take much longer until we were out of the palace, getting into our ships again, setting course to Teth.

"Let's get out of here." I muttered, taking off the sandy ground of Tatooine.
