I am in love -Taylor X Travis

Twenty-Nine

Taylor POV

Friday morning came and left faster than i would have liked it to, Evelyn and I had left Travis' house early this morning. Both Travis and I sharing tears as we said goodbye not knowing exactly when we would see each other again, he was starting the football season again and i didn't have a break from tour for at least three weeks. 

Both Evelyn and i are on the jet as we flew away from Travis and as close as we could the the stadium that i was performing in tonight. I walk out of the bathroom and make my way to my set when i hear Evelyn softly singing along to the song in her headphones as she was deep in thought writing in her small book. I wasn't someone who would say this often but she has the voice of an angel, she is a natural in her singing and i could easily listen to her all day. 

I gently tap her on the shoulder and he head comes up so we are now looking at me "You sing?" i ask gently 

"Oh sorry i didn't realize that i was singing out loud" she explains and i shake my head in response 

"No need to apologize, you have a stunning voice" i offer, her cheeks turning a soft shade of pink. 

"Thank you but you are literally the biggest star in the world at the moment" she deflects, showing that she no longer wants to talk talk about this topic 

I take a seat next to her before speaking "I still haven't picked a surprise song for tonight" i announce, Evelyn quickly lifting her eyes 

"What do you think you will play?" she asks

"You want to pick?" i answer he question with one of my own 

"Can i?" 

"Yes of course"

We are off of the jet and making our way into the stadium, Walking side by side with Evelyn i feel her hand take a tight grip on mine. I look over to see a panicked expression plastered on her face, I gently squeeze her hand hoping to reassure her.

"What is going through that pretty mind of yours huh?" I ask 

"I have been gone a long time, no body knows why. Taylor are they mad?" She rambles out her thoughts 

"Sweetheart take a breath, no body is mad at you for taking a break okay. I told them that you had family things going on and you needed some personal time. We are going to walk in there and everything is going to be okay i promise you" I explain nodding my head as i make a promise i hope she believes 

"I love you" she whispers 

"Sweetie, i love you as well" 

We walk through the doors of the stadium saying hello to the crew as we pass and quickly slip into the room all the dancers seem to sit in before every show

"Hey guys" I announce as i close the door. in return i get a few "Hey" and "Hi" and then every ones eyes fall onto the girl beside me who is still tightly gripping on to my hand. 

"Hi" Evie mumbles 

"Glad to have you back" Kam smiles, looking up at the two of us 

"Do you need me to get your costumes?" Natalie offers, getting up off of one of the couches 

"I don't think i am dancing" Evie speaks slowly, looking at me as if she needs help 

"Why not?" I didn't catch who said that, my eyes solely focused on Evelyn and how much she looks like she is struggling to talk to the group

"We are just going to see how tonight goes and maybe she will dance tomorrow, I think it is important she gets used to the tour again. But we are going to head off and i will see you all before the show, Come get me if you need anything" I explain the group 

I lead Evelyn off to my dressing room, closing the door behind me just in time for Evelyn to wrap her arms around my torso. 

"Thank you" she whispers out 

"No need to thank me sweetheart" I offer in return, wrapping my arms around her back and pulling her close. 

Evelyn POV 

I sat in Taylor's leather chair as i watched her get her make-up done and as she finished getting ready. I felt guilty about not going on stage tonight but i knew that i wouldn't be able to perform for the two hours i normally did. 

Taylor hugged me as she jumped up onto the part of the stage that lifts her up. 

I walk out from under the stage and take a seat in the VIP tent watching as Taylor performed the Lover era, singing along to the songs as she sung them. A few of Taylor's fans came up and took a photo with me. 

The Fearless era came and left just as quickly, I sang every word as she did, dancing up on that stage without a care in the world. While Taylor sang the RED songs i quickly slipped away from the tent and made my back to under the stage, finding Kam as i walked pass everyone. 

"Can you help me get ready?" I ask 

"Yeah of course, lets go" He leads me back to the costumes and i quickly get into the dress. I fix my hair and run to the stage door, watching Taylor already walking out. 

I quickly bush over my hair one last time with my hands before the small doors open on the stage and me and the other girls make our way onto the stage. This was by far my favourite part of the show, no matter how many times i performed the dance, i felt the prettiest i ever would in this dress. 

I slowly dance my way down the stage as my eyes follows Taylor, her eyes fall on me and a smile quickly appears on her face. Taylor makes her way over to me, getting closer as she continues to sing. Taylor slowly reaches out a hand towards me and i gladly accept, squeezing her hand. 

Taylor lifts both of our hands about my head and tilts it making me spin in a circle, i let out a loud chuckle but luckily because of the loud noise that radiated throughout the stadium no body heard. The song finishes and we all make our way back to the doors we all came through Taylor tilts her head towards mine as we walk and whispers a short "I'm so proud of you" 

Eventually the evening reaches the surprise song part of the show, Taylor walked over to the microphone that stood hon her stand before starting her somewhat of a little speech like she does every night. 

"Welcome to the acoustic set" Taylor spoke as the crowd went crazy in cheers. 

"I had once said that i take requests on what songs i choose to sing for this part of the show and the song i am about to sing is a request that i got given earlier today" she started and once again claps and cheers filled the stadium 

"The girl who requested this song is incredibly special and i care for her a lot, i admire the way she handles herself and how positive she remains a lot of the time. Most of you know that i rarely get on stage and talk about people that i care about but in this case i find it necessary for her to know how special she is to me and to this tour." Taylor stums on her guitar as she takes a breath, a smile creeps up on my face that i can not seem to wipe it off 

"Sweet heart i know you are listening and i want you to know that you are loved and cared about and i hope this is what you pictured when you asked for this song" Taylor finishes and starts playing her guitar. 

"I said remember this moment 

in the back of my mind 

the time we stood with our shaking hands"

I stand back away from all the other dancers and sway side to side slowly singing the words along with my favourite person in the world at the moment. 

halfway through the song Taylor starts spinning, smiling as she changes up the song 

"From sprinklers splashes to fireplace ashes 

i called a taxi to take me there"
