I gritted my teeth, feeling Seliel lower the dagger.
I instantly pushed my palms against Seliel's shoulders, my bloody hand touching her bloody shoulder.
"Cole!" I ran towards him, forgetting about all my pain for the moment. I saw Morro reach his hand out from the corner of my eye, too occupied by Cole's pain tearing me up.
"Ah, Charlie." His arm hit my waist, stopping me from running ahead.
"Let go, you maniac!" I pushed his arm away from me.
He pushed his muscular limb against my body, turning me around into a hug from behind.
"Let go?"
He squeezed his arms on my ribs. His forearms crossed over from beneath my chest, making my boobs pop up. My chest squeezed closer to me, making it hard for me to breathe in the corset I wore. But I wasn't focused on anything except Cole. I stared to my left at him, even with Morro's body glued to me from behind.
"I've missed you so much, Charlie. How can I just let you go?" He put his chin over my left shoulder, his lips mumbling in the crook of my neck.
I shuddered. My eyes widened as I froze in my position, sensing Morro's warm breath on my ear. He slowly let his arms go, trailing them down my body, his fingers tapping on my waist.
My hands shook in fear. I was back in his arms. After everything we had done, neither of us made it out. Thick tears formed in my eyes while I thought of our failure.
Cole looked at me, his brows furrowing over his shutting eyes.
"Come with me." Morro walked in front of me, his left hand grazing my back while he stopped, facing me.
I looked up at him, watching him grin.
"I'll make it hurt less this time." He pulled my left wrist up, thrusting me forward with him. "I promise."
I winced, letting my tears slip out. I looked ahead of me at the two doors I had seen often. One was the entrance to the bar and the other one was too familiar for me to have forgotten it; it was Morro's room. Morro pulled me forward, at first I took heavy steps, easily getting pulled by him. I was thinking about Cole.
I passed by Seliel. I looked at her. She seemed exhausted but she was still clenching the dagger in her hand. I looked at her bloody shoulder, realizing my own hand was hurt. I stared at the fresh, viscous liquid, watching it slowly drip out of my hand. It suddenly hit me, what Morro was going to do to me.
"Wait! Stop!" I suddenly resisted, turning around as I reached my right hand towards Cole.
Morro instantly turned around too, grabbing my right hand with his left. He looked over his shoulder, pulling me with him.
I grunted. I pulled down on my hands, trying to get them out of his.
I made no progress. Instead, I hurt my left hand worse. It hurt. Blood soaked my entire forearm, matching the colour of my dress.
I leaned back to get out of his grasp but it was no luck. He turned the handle, swaying the door open towards himself. He pulled me with a jerk, letting the door swing back on its own after giving it a gentle pull. I looked over my shoulder at Cole just before the door shut behind me.
