The Stars Shine Brightly For You

Marjorie was carrying a heavy box down to the basement of the nursery when she missed a step and fell down the last few steps. The heavy box landed on her arm and she heard a crack. She left the box at the bottom of the stairs and slowly made her way up and back to the office. She was more embarrassed than anything else but she really didn't want to leave work she needed to get this paperwork done before the big merger.

She winced as she sat down at the desk drawing autumns attention. "Marjorie what's wrong?" The brunette asked slightly worried. "Nothing autumn I'm fine." Marjorie said. Autumn watched as Marjorie tried to use her computer mouse and saw her wince in pain moving her arm. "You're not fine what's wrong?!" Autumn said standing up and walking to her. "It's nothing ok I just fell down the last few steps in the basement and the box landed in my arm I'm ok!" Marjorie said trying her best to stay strong.

"I'm calling Reece." Autumn said grabbing her phone. "But..." she was stopped by autumns finger in the air telling her to shut up. "Reece Marjorie needs to go to the hospital please come get her." Autumn said hanging up before he had the chance to respond. Reece sped as quickly as he could to the knight nursery unsure of what happened.

"Where's Marjorie?! What's happened?! Is she ok?!" Reece yelled as he ran into the office. "Reece, darling I'm fine, I'm right here." Marjorie said standing up and walking towards him holding her arm to her chest. "Gorgeous what happened?!" Reece said as he held her gently afraid to hurt her. "I fell and I think my arm is broken." She said leaning her head on his chest as he kissed her forehead.

"Ok come on gorgeous let's go get you checked out." He said walking her to the car. Marjorie was really starting to feel the pain after the adrenaline wore off. Reece hit a bump in the road causing Marjorie to wince in pain. "Ow...." She said quietly catching reeces attention. "Shit Marjorie I'm so sorry!" Reece said laying his hand on her thigh squeezing lightly. "It's ok it just hurts so bad now" the brunette said sadly.

They arrived to the hospital shortly after Reece gently helping Marjorie walk towards the entrance. "Right we're almost there. I'm so proud of you Marj." Reece said softly rubbing her back.

They got sent back pretty quickly the doctor immediately wanting an x-ray done. Marjorie looked worriedly at Reece she'd never had an xray or spent much time in the hospital other than when her father passed away. Reece pulled her into a hug kissing her head gently. "It's ok it'll be fast and I'll be right here waiting ok?" Reece said with a soft smile.

Marjorie made her way in and sure enough the xray went quickly. She was brought back to her room and waited with Reece for the results. The doctor came back in shortly after, "so it's definitely broken. We will get you into a cast and see you in a few weeks to check the healing process." The doctor said with a small smile.

Marjorie picked out the color of her cast and waited while they got her all situated. Once they arrived home Reece didn't let her do anything. He waited on her hand and foot. "Hey marj I made your favorite pasta dish and I thought we could watch mean girls and just relax together?" Reece said with a bright smile on his face. "God you're so attractive." Marjorie said cuddling into him as he sat down in the sofa.

Halfway through the movie Marjorie fell asleep in the safety of her boyfriend's arms. He loved these moments and always took time to cherish them. When Marjorie was asleep she looked so at peace and it brought Reece peace knowing she was safe and happy. Once the film ended he slid down a bit to get comfortable he didn't want to move his girlfriend he wanted her to rest. He quickly dozed off and the couple had a relaxing lunch time nap in eachothers arms.

Reece woke up when the room got significantly darker. He looked out the window and saw all the beautiful stars  it hadn't been this clear in weeks and he wanted to show Marjorie. He gently woke her up and carried her outside making sure she stayed wrapped in her blanket for warmth.

They cuddled into eachother for an hour as Reece explained different constellations and stars like he knew everything about space. Marnie just watched him in awe. She loved this man so much and felt like the luckiest woman in the world.

"They're so bright tonight." Marjorie said in awe looking around at the bright stars.

"They shine brighter for you gorgeous." Reece replied pulling her into a sweet kiss. "I love you my knight in shining armour." Marjorie said with a giggle. "I love you my beautiful star." Reece said holding her close.
