Move In With Me

Reece hated the days Marjorie didn't stay with him. He loved it when they stayed in his house. He really wanted to ask Marjorie to move in with him but was struggling with how to approach the topic. He saw as more and more of Marjorie's  things had made their way into his place and he loved seeing them.

Charlotte was covering at the sister nursery and Reece figured this was the perfect person to ask about this topic. "Hey Reece! You wanted to see me?" Charlotte asked as she entered. "Hey yea, so um...." He paused all the sudden getting nervous. He felt embarrassed to ask her this question. Like he should already know how to ask. "Reece everything alright?" Charlotte asked as she sat down looking at her friend concerned.

"Yea... yea... I just, I need some advice." He said shutting his eyes out of embarrassment. "Ok how can I help? You don't have to be embarrassed." Charlotte said calmly knowing how hard it was for the older male to open up. "Well, I want to ask Marjorie to move in with me but I'm not sure how to ask." Reece said deciding that getting straight to the point made more sense then beating around the bush.

Charlotte gasped out of excitement, "oh Reece that's so exciting! Why are you nervous you know she'll say yes!" Charlotte said with a beaming smile on her face. "I just don't know how to ask her." Reece said slightly stuttering. "How did your ex husband approach that when you moved in together?" He asked knowing the topic was a hard one for Charlotte. "Oh well, I mean slowly more and more of my stuff made its way and kinda next thing we knew I was just living there, he never really asked. But, Mia asked me the other day, and she just made us dinner, and said that she doesn't want to be apart from me anymore and wants me to move in and I said yes." Charlotte said trying her best to be helpful.

"Ok, ok, well so I was kinda thinking I could take her out and star gaze, and maybe eat dinner under the stars and I could ask her? Is that too cheesy?" Reece asked nervously. Charlottes eyes teared up, "oh reeece that is so romantic, Marjorie would love that!" Charlotte said excitedly. Reece smiled feeling much more confident in his idea.

After work Reece raced to the nursery to pick up his girlfriend. The brunette walked out her eyes immediately lightening up at the site of him. "Hi darling!" She said as she immediately wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss. "Hi gorgeous, I have a surprise for you." He said with a huge smile. "What? A surprise? What do you mean?" Marjorie said getting excited. "You'll see we have to go home and get ready ok?" Marjorie smiled and grabbed his hand before walking to his car.

Once they got inside Reece smiled, "alright so dress comfortable, and warm." He said nervously. Marjorie looked at him curiously before going upstairs to change, he was fine in what he was wearing and quickly made his way to the kitchen to gather up food for dinner, after putting it in a basket he grabbed and blanket and put it in the back of the car. When he came back in Marjorie was ready to go.

"Darling where are we going?" Marjorie giggled. Reece reached his hand out and said, "I'll show you." They walked back out to the car and began their journey. Reece always gave Marjorie the choice on music, he loved seeing her dance and sing in the passenger seat. Once they arrived to this small clearing Marjorie looked confused, "just trust me." Reece said with a smile. He ran out of the car and grabbed the basket then opened the door for Marjorie holding out his hand. She giggled and grabbed it eyeing the basket with excitement.

They walked to the spot Reece went to when he needed to think and set up their picnic. "I thought we could have a picnic under the stars?" Reece said nervously. "Awe Reece this is the sweetest thing." Marjorie said kissing him gently. They cuddled into eachother and Reece broke the silence, ""you know, I come here when I need to think. I've always liked the stars. I like to imagine what else is out there. I always wanted to be an astronaut so that I could take autumn and I far away from our dad." He said trying to open up. Marjorie cuddled him tighter. "You're such an amazing older brother I hope you know that." Marjorie said knowing that talking too much about his past scared him sometimes.

"Marjorie, can I ask you something?" Reece said, he felt like it was the right moment. "Nothing darling." She said still staring up at the stars. "Will you move in with me? I hate when you stay at your place, I just never want to be apart from you." Reece said his vulnerability showing. Marjorie raised her head looking at Reece. Tears forming in her eyes, "oh Reece I thought you'd never ask." Marjorie said smiling brightly. She leaned down kissing him passionately, his arms holding her protectively. He loved this woman more than life itself and he was going to do anything in his power to protect her.

She was his forever.
