Two Lines Changes Everything

Carly stared at the two lines. This couldn't be happening right? It was once, a stupid decision one time. She gripped her stomach as tears started to pour from her eyes. She felt like she was going to be sick. "No, no, no, no" she whispered in disbelief. She started to hyperventilate as she sat down on the bathroom floor and scooted against the wall. She brought her legs to her chest as she began to panic. She thought about her parents, they were nice enough but she knew how furious they'd be when they found out.

She couldn't breathe, she was panicking to a point that she had lost the ability to do anything else. She shakily reached into her blocker for her phone and did her best to unlock it. She called the first name that came up on her screen..... Charlotte.....

It rang a few times before the brunette answered. "Hey Carly you alright?" The sweet brunette said. Carly couldn't get words out but hearing charlottes voice helped slightly. Charlotte could heard the girl hyperventilating on the line her concern growing, "Carly sweetheart what's going on?" She asked looking towards her red headed girlfriend in a panic. Mia stood and told Charlotte to put the phone on speaker.

Charlotte did as she was told and the red head heard the young girl in a panic. "Carly I want you to listen closely to me." Mia said calmly. Charlottes eyes softened watching her girlfriend help out the young girl. "I want you to tell me 5 things you can see. Take your time" Mia said gently. Carly looked confused but looked around the room. "I.... See..... the towel...... the rug...... the tub..... my shoes..... the door....." Carly said through breaths. "Good, what's 4 things you can touch?" The red head asked, Carly's breathing eased a bit more, "um.... The floor..... the wall..... my jumper.... My phone..." she said feeling slightly less panicked.

"You're doing amazing Carly what's 3 things you can hear?" Mia said, Charlotte looking at her proudly. "Your voice, my breathing, the water running" she said feeling herself calm down. "Sweetheart you're doing great, what's 2 things you can taste?" The red head asked gently. "My toothpaste, and fear" she said as tears started to poor down her face. "You're ok Carly, you're safe. Can you tell us what's wrong?" The red head asked pulling Charlotte down into her lap to comfort her worried girlfriend.

"Carly honey what's wrong?" Charlotte said nervously. "Can you come to mine I can't say it out loud." The young girl said through sobs. "Of course we're on the way right now" Charlotte and Mia sped to Carly's house. Charlotte had received a text from the young girl telling her the door was unlocked and to come upstairs to the bathroom. As Mia and charlotte made their way inside. The brunette gently knocked on the door so that she didn't scare the 17 year old.

When Charlotte opened the door and saw the young girl curled up on the ground she immediately ran to her and pulled her into a hug. "Oh Carly it's ok, you're ok we're here." Charlotte said holding her close. Mia watched as the two embraced before her eyes locked with a certain test sitting on the counter top. Mia picked it up and her eyes went wide before she looked down at the young girl. "Carly sweetheart is this yours?" The red head asked causing Charlotte to look up.

The brunette gasped when she saw the pregnancy test, causing Carly's sobs to grow louder and her breathing to go crazy again. Charlotte wasn't sure what to do, she looked at Mia who looked worried. As Charlotte did her best to comfort the young girl Mia picked up her phone and called Reece. "Mia." Reece said frustratingly. "Reece you and Marjorie need to come to Carly's, char and I are here and I'm not sure what's going on" Mia said the worry evident in her tone.

"What? Is she ok? We're on our way now please tell me she's ok." Reece said beginning to panic as he ran upstairs to find Marjorie. "She's ok but I found something you'll need to see when you get here." Mia said holding the pregnancy test in her hand as she stared at the two lines. "We're on our way now." Reece said hanging up.
