Autumn sighed sitting down at her desk. She was a whole hour early to work today all because her and winter got into an argument. Her open was blowing up with texts. Winter telling her he was sorry and to call him. She just shut her phone off and stared at her computer.

About an hour later Marjorie walked in and jumped slightly when she saw Autumn. "Autumn?! You're early today." Marjorie said sitting down and turning her computer on. "Maybe you're just late." Autumn said typing away not even looking in the brunettes direction. Marjorie rolled her eyes looking at the younger brunette. "I'm getting the a sense of deja vu, Autumn what's wrong?" Marjorie said looking worriedly at her best friend.

Autumn rolled her eyes, she never opened up and didn't want to talk about her argument. "It's nothing Marjorie leave it." Autumn said frustrated. Marjorie raised her hands in surrender before returning to her work. The silence in the office was palpable. Autumn kept glancing over at her friend before she finally spoke up. "Winter and I got into an argument." Autumn said not looking in Marjorie's direction.

Marjorie looked at Autumn sadly. "Oh my love I'm so sorry. Can I do anything to help?" She asked trying her best to keep her emotions to a minimum as to not scare away her best friend while she was being vulnerable. "Care to get drinks after work?" Autumn said with a sigh. Marjorie softly laughed, "drinks it is." She said pulling out her phone to let Reece know her plan.

Once the work day came to a close Autumn and Marjorie walked to the bar across the street laughing about the different parent interactions they experienced. The two loved time together, they never realized the stolen glances they gave eachother, the way they defended each other, how they talked every single day for hours on end. It never occurred to them the underlying feelings they had for one another.

As they were sat at a booth the two women just talk about anything, anything but the men in their lives. Marjorie was rambling on about something, everything felt like slow motion to Autumn she got lost in a trance just staring at the beautiful brunette before her. Autumn bit her lip when Marjorie's eyes locked with hers. "Autumn you alright?" Marjorie said blushing.

Autumn looked down when she realized she had been caught staring. "S-sorry, I'm fine." Autumn said growing embarrassed. Until she worked up the courage to say something she never expected to say but always wanted to. "Marjorie... come home with me? Winter won't be there tonight I've asked him to stay at his." Autumn said playing with a spot on the table. "I'd like that" Marjorie said biting her lip as her heart fluttered.

As the two women made it to autumns they made their way to the sofa where the tension in the room grew. Both women sat far apart from the other suddenly feeling nervous to talk.

"Marjorie" "Autumn" they said at the same time both letting out a nervous giggle. Autumn scooted closer to Marjorie taking a deep breath. Marjorie smiled softly at the beautiful woman waiting for her to continue. "I have feelings for you. I have since I started. But you picked my brother. Everyone always chooses him." Autumn said playing with her hands in her lap. Marjorie scooted up next to Autumn grabbing her hands to stop her fidgeting. "Autumn, look at me" Marjorie said watching the younger woman look up at her.

"I only picked him, because you had picked winter. I picked him to be close to you." Marjorie replied softly. Autumn looked at her friend in shock. She wasn't sure what she expected Marjorie to say but this wasn't it. "You wanted to be close to me?" Autumn said in disbelief. Marjorie scoffed and rolled her eyes, "of course I did. Who wouldn't." Marjorie said getting even closer to the brunette.
