I somehow managed to get out of his penthouse

I somehow managed to get out of his penthouse. I was not into myself. I tried my best to be strong but I don't know why my feet betrayed me. It was like when I took one step ahead, my feet went two steps backwards towards him. I wanted to go back to him and hug him. I wanted to not believe in any of those words but he actually made me sign those papers claiming me as his, whereas he gave a hickey to that girl. He said that he doesn't like sharing then how the fuck did he think that I was okay with him two-timing along with me being one of them? Was I really there just to warm his bed? Did I not mean anything more to him? But he is my first, how can he even do this?

I didn't know when those thoughts brought me to my office. I was in front of "Ro-Code Global" which was presently being decorated for the app launch party in the evening. It was almost ten in the morning.

I walked inside but as soon as Clara was going to tell me something, a call interrupted us. It was from Claudia Brooks, the owner of 'Brooks Co.'

"Hey. Good morning", I tried to sound normal.

"Good morning, pretty. Are the decorations done there?"

"Yes, it's nearly done. The projector set up is ready. The decorations are done according the theme of the app. We are just waiting for you to join us tonight", I fake-smiled.

"You are such a capable business partner. I'm glad to sign this contract with you", she exclaimed.

"It means a lot. I'll meet you in the evening", I cut the call.

I had back-to-back three calls to attend so I went ahead to the boarding room to attend the meeting. It's good to be busy because that was the only way I could keep my mind distracted from him.

After I was done with the calls, I realized it was almost four in the afternoon.

I came out of the boarding room to check the decorations. Last minute checking is always necessary. I was instructing the decorators to check the lights and all so that there would be no technical issues at the last minute.

A call interrupted me once again, but it was from the person I was trying to avoid so I didn't pick up the call.

He fucking betrayed me and now he is calling me to get me into his petty words. I was numb. My heart was breaking but I tried to console myself because I didn't want to mix my personal and professional life together. It was getting difficult for me to even breathe as time went by. My trust was broken, once again. I don't know what I should do now to fix myself. But this launch was much more important that this so I decided to get ready.

I went into the green room to get ready. I chose a pinkish beige off-shoulder satin gown with a large slit on the right side. I paired it up with an anklet on my right ankle, a standard silver chain with a star-shaped diamond pendant, and silver earrings. My beige heels were an excellent match for the dress.
