A Deal For Melody

Last time, the Toon Fox/Rabbit family and friends got shipwrecked on South island, where they met Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends and family. Of course the Demon trio showed up too and tried to take Tommy's soul, only to fail due to the others protecting him. However, not long after that, a boulder came rolling towards the group and Tails got crushed by it, much to everyone's shock and horror. Now, Tails was in his bed, all covered up in bandages, but was still alive, for the moment at least. Maddie: "How is he?" asked Maddie to Lyric, who used to work as a nurse when she was younger. Lyric: "Well... his skeleton was badly damaged from the boulder... it's a miracle that he survived at all... though I fear that he might be stuck in the current state he's in for the rest of his life..." said Lyric, which made everyone look sad and worried for Tails, as they know now that he'll never be the same again. Sonic: "Tails... it's not fair... he didn't deserve this... I should have saved him... I wasn't fast enough!" shouted Sonic, before he fell to his knees and punching the ground with his fist. Roger: "Poor kid..." Tom: "Isn't there anything we can do?" Lyric: "I'm not sure... I never dealt with injuries this serious before... but I'll do what I can..." said Lyric, as she went back to work on helping Tails. Melody was outside of the Wachowski house, crying a little as she wanted to help Tails but there was nothing she could do. Not to mention that she felt guilty for what happened to the poor two tailed fox as well. Melody: "This is all my fault... Tails is badly hurt because of me... I gotta help him... but what can I do?... I'm powerless... I would give anything to help Tails at this point..." said Melody, before a puff of smoke appeared and the Demon trio came to the scene. ScreamClaw: "Anything you say?" Melody: "Ah!, the Demon trio!" ThunderSmacker: "Yeah it's us... but never mind that... we might be able to help you on helping the little two tailed boy." Melody: "Really?" SpaceWarp: "Y-y-yeah... what he said..." ScreamClaw: "Here's the deal... just sign this contract... [showing a contract to Melody] and we'll give you the powers of healing yourself and others... and perhaps a few extra powers too." Melody: "But... if I do... then I would owe you my soul..." ScreamClaw: "Perhaps... but it's an offer you can't refuse... especially since the little fox's life is on the line." Melody: "What do you mean?" ScreamClaw: "I mean he's gonna pass away in a few hours from now... that is unless you agree to our little deal." said ScreamClaw, before he offers his hand to the little rabbit girl, who wanted to slap it away, but knowing that Tails needed serious help and getting a power that can help her on helping others, she let out a sigh in defeat. Melody: "Alright... it's a deal..." said Melody, before she and ScreamClaw shook hands, and once that happened, a surge of blue energy went into Melody's body, and then her hands started to glow white. ScreamClaw: "Remember, you owe us your soul now... but we'll let you save the fox first." said ScreamClaw, before he and the other demons used their pitch forks to leave the scene. Once the demons left, Melody ran off to where Tails was, and then placed her hands on him. Once that happened, her hands started to glow white, and then Tails' own body started to glow and once the glow faded, Tails woke up and was starting to remove the bandages, showing that he was all healed, much to the shock of everyone in the room. Tails: "Oh man... that was quite the cure..." said Tails, before Cream runs over to Tails and gave him a big hug. Cream: "Tails!, you're okay!, I was so worried..." Tails: "Hey Cream..." said Tails while blushing a little as Cream was hugging him. Sonic: "How... did Melody do that?" Tommy: "I don't know... I never seen her do that before..." Lyric: "Also... why is she crying?" asked Lyric, as she noticed that Melody was crying, before Roger came over to her. Roger: "Hey sweetie... what's wrong?" Melody: "I'm sorry... I knew better but... it was an offer I couldn't refuse... I had to save Tails... like how he saved me..." Gidget: "What are you talking about?" Melody: "I... I sold my soul to the Demon trio..." Jokey and Jokeo: "WHAT?!" Melody: "They promised me that they'll give me the power to heal Tails... I knew better... but I had to save him... I'm so sorry..." Roger: "Oh Melody..." Lyric: "First my little boy... and now my little girl?" Tommy: "Oh little sis..." Tails: "I'm so sorry Melody... if only I was able to get away from that stupid boulder in time..." Vanilla: "No Tails... do not blame yourself... you only got hit by that boulder because you were trying to save my niece... that's all." Knuckles: "What do we do now?" Amy: "Yeah... Melody now owes those monsters her soul..." Roger: "We'll find a way to get her out of this mess... somehow..." the next day, everyone was having breakfast, but they were not happy as they were worried about Melody, as she now owes the Demon trio her soul. Now they were keeping their eyes on anything out of the ordinary in case if it was the Demon trio about to make their move. Tommy: "And sign of the trio?" Gidget: "Nothing so far..." Jokey: "No sign of them in my shoe." Sonic: "Why would you think they'd be in your shoe?" Jokey: "I don't know... just thought of it..." Jokeo: "Hmm... maybe we're in the clear." suddenly, a puff of smoke appeared and the Demon trio came to the scene. ScreamClaw: "Nope, you are not." Melody: "Ah!" Tommy: "Stay away from my sister!" ThunderSmacker: "We can't, she made a deal with us, her soul belongs to us now." SpaceWarp: "Y-y-yeah... what he said..." Tommy: "I don't care if she made a deal or not, you're not laying a claw on Melody or her soul!" ScreamClaw: "And just what are you gonna do about it?" Tommy: "I'm glad you asked that..." said Tommy with a smile, as he pulls out what looked like a water balloon, before the others pulled out water balloons of their own. SpaceWarp: "Uh... oh..." ThunderSmacker: "Oh nuts..." Tommy: "Ready... aim..." ScreamClaw: "Oh no!" Tommy: "Fire!" called out Tommy, before he and the others threw water balloons at the trio, who were screaming in pain because of the cold water on their skin. ScreamClaw: "Demons!, retreat for now!, but mark my words... we will have that rabbit's soul, along with the rest of those brats!" shouted ScreamClaw, before he and the other demons used their pitch forks to teleport away from the scene. Once the danger was over, the grown ups came to the scene. Roger: "Kids!" Lyric: "Are you all okay?" Tommy: "We're fine... thanks to our water balloons." Sonic: "Looks like they have a better reason to hate water more than me..." Knuckles: "Indeed, you only sink in water, while they scream in pain like little girls." Melody: "Hey!, I don't scream like that." Knuckles: "Sorry, no offense meant." Gidget: "Anyway... the Demon Trio's gone for now... but I have a feeling they'll be back soon..." Tails: "Hmm..." Cream: "What's the matter?" Tails: "It's just... Melody got herself into this mess because of me... if only I was faster..." Sonic: "Don't blame yourself little bro..." Roger: "He's right... those demons have been after us way before we got here, so don't beat yourself up about it." Cream: "Yeah Tails, she was only trying to help you because you helped her first... and I'm just really happy that you're okay... I don't know what I'll do if anything... would have happened to you." said Cream, before she gives Tails a hug, and then started to cry a little while Tails hugged her back in hopes to comfort her a little. Vanilla: "Poor Cream... and poor Melody..." Lyric: "I know... something has got to be done about those demons... otherwise... oh I wouldn't dare to think about it..." said Lyric, as she was scared by the thought of losing not only her son, but also her daughter to the Demon trio.
