Francesca
I started to panic once I felt the restraint on my wrists and ankles. Then, the darkness and the feeling of something being tied around my head let me know that I was blindfolded. I wiggled my body around, what felt like a chair. The realization that I had been kidnapped took over me and I screamed with panic. "Help!" I noticed something dry and thick in my mouth, and far down my throat I started to gag the more I yelled.
I'm going to die. I thought as I wiggled more and more making the chair screech against the floor.
The fact that I couldn't see anything and was restrained sent every worst-case scenario into my brain.
My chest rose and fell and I started to pray. Pray for some miracle, that I would get out of this situation before anything got worse. Hot tears formed and trickled down my cheeks. I assumed that the Alvarez family had something to do with my kidnapping but why?
It wasn't me that they wanted.
I yanked my arms failing to get out of the cold hard handcuffs that were attaching me to the chair. My ankles were also tied together with thick rough rope and felt a little sore. The only thing that was keeping me somewhat sane was knowing my children were with family and safe.
The sounds of heels clicking in the near distance seemed to calm my heart rate down ironically, knowing it was Paz. She has always been so sweet to me. Woman to woman, we connected. Whether it was by, giving me advice on marriage, business, or even cosmetics. She was like a sister to me.
The fact I was in the place reminded me that I could never put my trust in someone who was in her position because she was going to choose her operation over anyone and anything, every time. Someone like her had a lot to prove and a lot at stake, and that allowed her to switch to a different person if need be.
I felt rough hands taking off my blindfold, and my eyes adjusted to Paz in a navy blue pantsuit and her slick bun, low and neat at the nape of her neck. She placed her red painted nails on her Chanel sunglasses and swiped them off of her face. She shook her head at me, as I sat there helplessly gagged, tied up, and weak from trying to fully wake up from the chemical that was used to make me unconscious.
She turned her head to one of the men that worked in her operation. Chino is his name. 6'4, 350lbs of hard muscle, and slick jet-black wavy hair. As she nodded to him, he came over and roughly ripped off the ducktape over my mouth, and forcefully took out my gag that just consisted of a random cloth.
I took a deep breath and licked my lips to bring moisture to my dry mouth. I started to speak,
"No." Paz interrupted me with a finger. "I'm only going to ask once."
Her face was stern and harsh, but beautiful at the same time. She licked her lips and tucked her hands in her pockets. "Where is your husband?" She asked. "I know where he works, I know where he lives, I know where he works out, I even know the country club he attends. But yet, my men are all around Miami as we speak, and he is nowhere to be found." She let me know with a confused look,
"His assistant was kind enough to tell us that he was supposed to be at a meeting yesterday around the same time you left my office." She pointed to me and then folded her arms. "And ironically, he never showed up to the office nor answered any calls."
"I don't know where he is, I swear to God," I told her with the most persuasive tone I could muster.
"We were able to get ahold of his lawyer friend Victor but not your husband. You warned him didn't you?" She asked.
"Okay, Paz! I told him, I had to. I couldn't let you kill him!" I admitted quickly, I couldn't bring myself to lie in this situation. I had no idea what they were going to do to me, and that was a risk I was not willing to take. " I swear he did not tell me where he was going. B-but he got on a jet..." I swallowed the lump in my throat catching my breath, "He got on a jet and he is out of Florida for sure. He won't be a problem, I promise."
