The weekend dragged on, filled with the hollowness of Taehyung's absence. Jungkook found himself replaying every interaction they'd ever had, searching for signs that he might have missed. Was that gentle pat on the back more than just a friendly gesture? Did Taehyung's laugh hold a hint of something more when Jungkook made a particularly cheeky remark? The what-ifs haunted him, keeping him up at night and making every quiet moment feel heavier with unspoken words.

On Saturday evening, as the sky outside the living room window turned a deep shade of indigo, Jungkook's phone buzzed with a text from Taehyung.

My sexy man❤🍑

Finished studying 😮‍💨
Coming home on Monday 😁
Miss you guys 😭
Can't wait to hear all the stories from your wild weekend 😘

It read. Jungkook's heart skipped a beat, the words feeling like a personal message just for him. He quickly typed a response, trying to play it cool.

My Cute Bunny 🐰❤

Miss you too, hyung ❤
We've just been watching movies and playing games
Nothing too crazy 😊

Yeonjun, who had been playing on his own phone, glanced over at Jungkook's screen and smirked. "Why don't you tell him the truth?" he said, raising an eyebrow. "Tell him how much you miss his jiggly ass?"

Jungkook shot him a glare, his cheeks burning. "Shut up," he hissed, quickly typing out a more appropriate response.

On Monday, Taehyung returned home, his eyes bloodshot from lack of sleep and the stress of finals. Jungkook couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for wanting to burden him with his own confession, but the longing was too strong. He watched as Taehyung dropped his bag by the door and made his way to the kitchen, his shoulders slumped with exhaustion.

"You two," Taehyung said sternly, "come here, we need to talk." Jungkook's heart raced as he and Yeonjun exchanged nervous glances.

They shuffled into the kitchen, where Taehyung was already setting the table for dinner. The scent of something delicious filled the air, making Jungkook's stomach growl. Taehyung's ass looked particularly tempting as he moved around the kitchen, his sweatpants hugging him in all the right places. Jungkook had to force his eyes up to meet his brother's gaze.

Taehyung's expression was stern, his eyes darker than Jungkook had ever seen them. "What's going on, Tae?" Jungkook asked, his voice tentative.

"First tell me how was your weekend?" Taehyung's tone was clipped, his movements sharp as he chopped vegetables for dinner. Jungkook and Yeonjun exchanged nervous glances, unsure of what had caused Taehyung's sudden change in demeanor.

"It was good," Yeonjun said cautiously. "We had a movie night, played some games, you know, the usual."

Taehyung nodded. "You didn't stay up too late, did you?" His voice was firm, the smile from earlier nowhere to be seen. Jungkook felt a pang of worry. This wasn't the relaxed, carefree Taehyung he was used to. His crush had always been the one to bring light to their lives, the one who could make them laugh no matter what. But now, he was as tense as a bowstring about to snap.

"No, we were pretty good," Jungkook assured him, trying to keep his voice steady. Yeonjun shot him a look that clearly said 'now's not the time for jokes'. Taehyung's stern gaze was fixed on them, his knuckles white as he gripped the kitchen counter.

"Did anything happen at school this whole week?" Taehyung's question hung in the air, cutting through the tension like a knife. Jungkook's heart raced as he searched for an innocent response.
