"Hey, Earth to Taehyung!" Jungkook's voice pierced through the library's studious hush, making a few heads turn.

Taehyung looked up from his textbook, his eyes narrowing as he met Jungkook's smug grin. "What do you want?" he snapped, his voice low but carrying the bite of annoyance.

Jungkook sauntered over, his leather jacket swaggering with each step. He leaned against the table, placing a hand just a little too close to Taehyung's. "Just here to brighten up your boring afternoon," he said, flashing a grin that showcased his piercings.

Taehyung rolled his eyes but couldn't help the small smile that tugged at his lips. Jungkook had that effect on people, an infectious charm that seemed to dance around the edges of his bad boy persona. "As if you know what boring is," he retorted, pushing Jungkook's hand away.

"Oh, you'd be surprised," Jungkook said with a wink. "So, what's got you buried in books today?"

Taehyung sighed, sliding his hair out of his face. "Just trying to keep my scholarship," he muttered, flipping a page. "Can't have you distracting me with your...whatever it is you think you're doing."

Jungkook chuckled, the sound rumbling in his chest. "Oh, come on," he said, leaning in closer. "You know you love it."

Taehyung scoffed, but the pink tint creeping up his neck betrayed his lie. "I don't have time for your games," he said, trying to refocus on his studies.

"I'm going on a date tonight, with someone that's not... well... you," Taehyung said, his voice filled with challenge as he looked up from his book.

Jungkook's smirk faltered for a moment before it grew into a full-blown smile. "Is that so?" he said, leaning in closer. "What's his name?"

Taehyung's eyes narrowed. "Why do you care?"

Jungkook leaned in and whispered in Taehyung's ear, "Cause you're mine, hyung, and I don't like sharing." The warmth of his breath sent shivers down Taehyung's spine, and he could feel Jungkook's piercing gaze on him even as he pretended to ignore it.

Taehyung's heart raced, and he couldn't decide if it was from irritation or something else entirely. He slammed his book shut, the sound echoing through the library. "You're delusional," he hissed, standing up so quickly that his chair scraped against the floor.

Jungkook stepped back, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Am I?" he said, raising an eyebrow. "Because it seems like you're the one with the problem here, Tae."

Taehyung grabbed his bag, his cheeks burning. "I don't have a problem," he spat, trying to keep his voice down. "I'm just not interested in playing your games, or in you, so please do us both a favor, fuck off."

Jungkook's smile faded, and for a brief moment, there was a flicker of something else in his eyes. Hurt maybe, but it was gone before Taehyung could be sure. "Fine," he said, shrugging nonchalantly. "But when you're done with Mr. Perfect tonight, remember who was here first."

With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Taehyung standing there, his heart racing. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down before he sat back down at the table. He couldn't let Jungkook get to him like this. He had a date to get ready for, and he didn't need the distraction.

As the hours passed, Taehyung couldn't shake off the feeling of Jungkook's presence. His mind kept drifting back to their encounter, replaying Jungkook's words and the way he'd looked at him. It was infuriating. He had a perfect date lined up. Someone sweet and kind, someone who didn't play games. Why couldn't he just focus on that?

Finally, the time came for Taehyung to leave the library. He gathered his things, hoping to put Jungkook out of his thoughts completely. As he stepped out into the crisp evening air, he couldn't help but look around for the bike that was usually parked outside. It was gone, but he could still feel Jungkook's eyes on him.
