"I have a bet for you," Jimin said, his voice steady.
Jimin was serious. "Since you loves betting so much. Then, wanna make a bet with me?" His words were serious and too shocking for both Taehyung and Jungkook to choke on their drinks as they turned their heads to look at him to see if what they heard was correct.
Jungkook's interest piqued, and he straightened up slightly. "What?" His eyes wide.
"Really?" Tae asked too, mouth widen. "Baby, are you okay?" He asked to confirm.
Both Jungkook and Taehyung were absolutely stunned, their jaws as if hitting the floor. Exclamations of disbelief escaped their lips as they struggled to understand what they had just heard. Jimin, suggesting a bet, was like a bolt from the blue for them, something completely unexpected.
As far as they knew, Jimin hated bets, he seriously hates it, so hearing him propose one to Jungkook seemed like a complete turnaround. It was almost impossible for both Jungkook and Taehyung.
"You...You're kidding me, right?" Jungkook asked, his tone tinged with uncertainty, while Taehyung shot Jimin a questioning look, silently pleading for confirmation if this was indeed happening.
Jimin, however, wasn't joking in the slightest.
"Of course not. Why would I joke about this? Let me know if you're interested in my bet. Or perhaps you're just too scared," Jimin declared with a serious tone, his words dripping with determination as he confronted Jungkook and Taehyung.
"I'm not kidding at all. I want to propose a deal to you, JK. You fancy yourself as a betting king, right? Well, if you're as good as you think you are, then complete my bet, and I'll consider you as how you see yourself." His sincerity caught Tae off guard, staring at Jimin wanting to know what is going on inside his beatfriend's head, while Jungkook looked interested by the proposition, He smirked.
"What a great day this is! I'd be honored to make a bet with you, my one and only beloved hyung. It's quite a luck to see someone who's always been against my betting habits now wanting to make a bet himself. How could I pass up such an opportunity?"
Jimin, maintaining his serious demeanor, replied sternly,
"Don't get ahead of yourself, JK. Hear out my bet first." Jungkook, unfazed, casually sipped his wine, then nodded, prompting Jimin to continue. "Fine, go ahead, what is it?" he asked."It's not a newfangled bet; I bet you've done it countless times before. But do it again, solely because it's my bet: Make someone fall in love with you."
"What?!" Tae exclaimed, unable to believe what Jimin was suggesting. It seemed utterly out of character for him.
Jungkook, taken aback by Jimin's proposition, couldn't help but chuckle eventually. He seemed to relish the challenge.
"How interesting! Is that all? You call that a bet? Jimin, you're seriously underestimating me by offering such an easy challenge. The international playboy? It's easier than a piece of cake for me to make anyone fall head over heels for me," Jungkook declared confidently, his determination shining through. "Like, duh. It's me. The great Jeon Jungkook!"
"Oh, please."
Jimin's expression turned stern as he addressed Jungkook. "As I said, don't get ahead of yourself, JK. I know it's an easy one; I'll believe it when you complete it." Jimin continued.
"So, make someone fall head over heels for you, like so crazy that they can't live without you, where their breathing and lifeline depend on you. I want that kind of love for someone to have for you, JK."Jungkook chuckled, "Easy peasy lemon squeezy."
"Hear me out completely, will you?" Jimin said, glaring at Jungkook, who nodded in response.
