When they reached school, everything seemed normal to Jin. He casually sat down at his usual spot, earphones plugged in, humming softly as he worked on his assignments. He had no idea of the chaos that swirled around him. Jungkook, as always, made sure everything stayed that way, keeping a close eye on Jin from across the room, ensuring that no one dared to disturb him.
But the atmosphere was different. Whispers floated around, and the tension in the air was thick. Everyone had heard what Jungkook did to Minjun. Once feared as the coldest bully, Jungkook had now become something more-a monster in their eyes. His ruthlessness in protecting Jin had reached a terrifying new level after what happened with Minjun. The brutal beating had sent shockwaves through the entire school. Minjun was still in the hospital, and the story of how Jungkook snapped had spread like wildfire.
Students avoided Jungkook at all costs, not even daring to meet his gaze. They were terrified of what he might do if they crossed a line. And if harming Jin meant facing the wrath of someone like Jungkook, then everyone silently agreed to keep their distance from Jin too.
Jin, oblivious to all of this, simply continued with his day, unaware of the new layer of protection that had formed around him. Jungkook had ensured that no one would dare harm him again, but it came at a cost. The fear Jungkook instilled in others made them avoid Jin, as if he were untouchable, under the guard of a beast who had awakened.
Jungkook glanced at Jin every few minutes, his heart softening at the sight of him so peacefully immersed in his work. But underneath that calm exterior, he knew what he was capable of-what he had done, and what he would do again if anyone so much as thought about hurting Jin. His fists clenched at the memory of Minjun's bloodied face, but it was a necessary price to keep Jin safe.
Jin, however, remained blissfully unaware, just the way Jungkook wanted it.
Jungkook quietly made his way over to Jin's seat, sitting beside him. Jin was so focused on his work, scribbling away, but a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. He couldn't see it, but he could always tell when Jungkook was staring at him. Jungkook had a way of making his presence felt, his gaze lingering like a soft, constant touch.
"You're staring again," Jin said, a playful smirk appearing on his face, though his eyes remained on his notebook.
Jungkook didn't deny it. Instead, he leaned in closer, resting his chin on Jin's shoulder, watching the way Jin's hand moved as he worked. "I can't help it. You're just... distracting."
Jin let out a soft chuckle, nudging him gently. "I'm working, you know."
"I know," Jungkook murmured, his voice soft and low. "But you always look so cute when you're focused."
Jin felt the warmth creeping up his neck, even though he tried to keep his cool. "You say that every time," he said, trying to sound nonchalant.
Jungkook smirked, knowing he was getting to Jin. "Because it's true... every time."
For a moment, they sat in comfortable silence, the soft sound of Jin's pen scratching against the paper. But Jungkook's gaze never left him, and even though Jin couldn't see, he felt Jungkook's presence with every fiber of his being. It was like being wrapped in a warm, protective bubble.
Finally, Jin turned his head slightly, facing where he knew Jungkook was. "You really can't stop staring, huh?"
"Nope," Jungkook whispered, leaning in to press a soft kiss on Jin's cheek. "And I never will."
Jin smiled, his heart fluttering at the gentle affection. Even without his sight, he could feel the love radiating from Jungkook's every move, every word. "You're impossible," Jin whispered, but the warmth in his tone betrayed the affection behind his words.
