Jungkook stared at Jin's tears falling down as he couldn't help his hand on its own, which made their way towards Jin's face and wiped off his tears with his thumb, surprising Jin. But his sniffles continued as he silently cried.
"Stop crying," Jungkook said gently, not knowing what was happening with him. He was wiping off Jin's tears while continuing to tell him not to cry, which was so unlike him.
"T-thank you for... helping me there, Ju-Jungkook," Jin stammered out, his smile bittersweet. It felt as if a thunderstorm fell on top of Jungkook when Jin spoke those lines with a smile befitting a graduate. For Jungkook, it only added to his guilt as he stared at Jin in disbelief.
No! I didn't help you in any way. I just sat there and watched you crying and getting bullied. I didn't help at all! Stop speaking nonsense. That's all Jungkook wanted to shout. Something was eating him from inside, and he couldn't guess what it was.
His thoughts were interrupted when Jin spoke again. "C-can I treat you for h-helping me?"
Jungkook's heart clenched at Jin's words, feeling a mix of guilt and confusion swirling within him. He wanted to protest, to tell Jin that he hadn't truly helped, but the sincerity in Jin's voice made it difficult to refuse.
"Uh... you don't have to," Jungkook mumbled, his gaze shifting away momentarily as he wrestled with his internal turmoil. How can he accept the treay of something he didn't actually do.
"But I want to," Jin insisted, his eyes earnest, as he continued. "Y- you w-were there for me when I needed someone, and that m-means a lot. I- I want to thank you for t- that."
NO! I wasn't! What an idiot! Can't you see I didn't helped you, i watched you suffering, why'd you want to treat me for that!!!!
Jungkook shouted in his mind as his throat tightened at Jin's words, his chest feeling heavy with emotion.
"P- please, Jungkook." Jin pleaded, his eyes glittering. His voice showed desperation. As he truly wanted to treat Jungkook for helping him which only ate Jungkook from inside.
Jungkook sigh, knowing he can't deny the offer, something inside him didn't let him to deny it. Also, eating together can bring them closer which might help him with the bet,
I am only doing it for the bet."Treat... what can you treat me?" Jungkook finally spoke, making his mind,
"I- I don't know... how about I cook for you?" Jin suggested with a small smile, making Jungkook raise his eyebrows as he stared at him for a moment before nodding and saying, "Well, who can say no to food, let's go then."
Jin smiled widely and nodded, feeling happy. Jungkook wasn't sure why he was happy. He held Jin's hand after a moment, and they started to walk, with Jin happily following him. Jungkook felt strange as his hand held Jin's hand securely, as if he'd fall away or disappear anytime, which made Jungkook hold him firmly yet gently, something extremely new for him. He felt confused by what he was doing. Why did he agree to the treat? Is it really for the bet that he agreed? He wasn't someone to enjoy cooked foods unless they were made by top-level chefs.
The chefs at his house were of a higher caliber and cooked foods of good quality for him. So how did he agree with Jin like that? How could he talk so softly with him? Why did he hold his hand? What made him even more confused was why he felt so weird, especially with the guilt knowing Jin was thanking him and feeling happy that Jungkook had saved him from bullies when he hadn't. He didn't save him; he just sat there and watched him getting bullied. It gave a hard pang in Jungkook's heart.

""Sit down, if you want you can watch TV," Jin spoke as they entered his house. Jungkook closed the door and replied, "I'd rather watch you."
