Jungkook felt a rush of adrenaline coursing through him as he watched Taeseong writhe on the floor, the salt stinging the fresh wounds. Each cry of agony only deepened his resolve to make this man pay for every moment he’d stolen from Jin, every tear he’d caused to fall. The room was filled with the sharp scent of blood and salt, mingling with the heavy air of dread that hung over them like a shroud.
“Is it hurting, Taeseong?” Jungkook taunted, his voice smooth and icy. “Good. You deserve every bit of it. This is just the beginning.” He reveled in the fear reflected in Taeseong’s eyes, the way his body trembled under the weight of the situation.
With deliberate slowness, Jungkook knelt beside him, looking into Taeseong’s pained expression with a twisted sense of satisfaction. “You see, I’m not just here to punish you for what you did to Jin. No, this is about making you understand the kind of monster you are.” He reached for a clean cloth, soaking it in the blood pooling beneath Taeseong’s wrist. “And I have all the time in the world to teach you.”
He pressed the cloth against Taeseong’s wound, a wicked grin spreading across his face as the man howled in pain, the cloth turning crimson. Jungkook leaned closer, savoring the moment. “Every drop of blood is just a small payment for the misery you’ve caused. Just think, this could be over quickly if you confess how much you hurt him. But where’s the fun in that?”
Jungkook’s fingers danced over the wounds he’d created, the blood slick and warm against his skin. “I can make this last for hours, you know,” he whispered, his voice dripping with malice. “The more you resist, the more painful it gets. It’s all up to you, Taeseong. Just tell me how much you regret your actions, and maybe I’ll show you a little mercy.”
Taeseong gasped, desperation flooding his features as he pleaded, “Please, I didn’t mean it! I never wanted to hurt him. I swear!”
“Liar,” Jungkook hissed, his patience wearing thin. “You wanted him for yourself, didn’t you? You wanted to take everything from him, and now look where you are.”
Without warning, Jungkook pulled a lighter from his pocket, flicking it open with a snap. The flame danced before them, illuminating the darkness of the basement and casting flickering shadows across Taeseong’s terrified face. “Let’s see how you like a little heat, shall we?”
He held the flame just above Taeseong’s wrist, teasing the edge of the blistering heat against the already injured skin. “This is for every time you made him cry. For every time you broke his heart.”
Taeseong whimpered, trying to pull away, but his bound hands only made it worse. “No! Please, don’t! I’ll do anything!”
Jungkook chuckled darkly, his smile widening as he watched the terror rise in Taeseong’s eyes. “Anything? That’s cute. But I’m afraid I’m not looking for a favor. I’m looking for your suffering.”
He lowered the flame just a bit closer, letting the heat singe the air, feeling Taeseong’s body tense beneath him. “You want to beg for mercy? Go ahead, it only makes this more enjoyable for me.”
“Please, please, I’m sorry!” Taeseong cried out, desperation coating his voice. “I’ll never hurt him again! Just stop!”
Jungkook paused, the flickering flame wavering slightly. “Never hurt him again?” he echoed, his tone contemplative. “You think I’ll ever believe you? You had your chance, and you blew it.”
He leaned in, his lips brushing against Taeseong’s ear as he whispered, “I want you to remember this moment. I want you to know that you’ll never escape the pain you’ve inflicted. And just when you think it’s over, I’ll remind you again.”
