Jungkook was in the middle of devouring another bite of steak, the juicy, perfectly seasoned meat making him close his eyes in delight.
Every bite seemed to melt in his mouth, and he couldn't help but let out a satisfied hum. Jin, sitting across from him, was watching quietly, his expression soft but thoughtful.
"You seem to like it a lot," Jin said after a moment, his voice low, almost hesitant.
Jungkook, still in his food-induced bliss, nodded eagerly. "Yeah, it's really good," he mumbled through a mouthful, then quickly swallowed before offering Jin a piece. "You should try it."
Jin shook his head slightly. "It's okay..." His voice grew even softer, almost as if he was talking to himself. "I could make it better. It's an easy dish. I'll make it for you."
Jungkook froze mid-bite, his fork hovering in the air as he processed Jin's words. The tone of Jin's voice had shifted, and Jungkook couldn't help but glance over at him, noticing the slight frown on Jin's face as he quietly picked at his own food. Wait... was Jin upset?
It hit him like a wave. Jin wasn't upset, he was... jealous?
Jungkook's eyes widened as realization dawned on him, and he had to suppress a grin that threatened to spread across his face. Was Jin really jealous of steak?
He tried to stifle his laughter but ended up coughing instead, putting his fork down as he composed himself. "Wait... are you mad?" Jungkook asked, his tone light, but there was a hint of amusement in his voice.
Jin's face flushed slightly, and he looked down, avoiding Jungkook's eyes. "No, I'm not mad," he muttered. "I just... thought you'd like my cooking better."
Jungkook leaned back in his chair, unable to stop the smile that now spread across his lips. "Are you jealous of the steak?" he teased, his voice playful but affectionate.
Jin's blush deepened as he bit his lip. "I'm not jealous, that's silly." he muttered, but the way he fidgeted with his napkin said otherwise.
Jungkook chuckled, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the table. "You're so cute, you know that?" He reached across the table, gently grabbing Jin's hand. "I love your cooking, baby. You know that. This is good, but nothing compares to when you cook for me. You know how much i love everything you cook for me, specially your special tea."
Jin finally met his gaze, still looking a bit flustered. "Really?" he asked quietly.
"Really," Jungkook reassured him, squeezing his hand. "I'd eat your food every day for the rest of my life if I could."
Jin smiled softly, though he still seemed a little shy. "Well... next time, I'll make something even better than this. Just wait."
Jungkook couldn't help but smile at Jin's determination, his heart swelling at the sight of Jin's shy pout. He leaned forward, resting his chin on his palm as he watched Jin intently. "You can make something tastier than this, huh?" Jungkook teased lightly, his voice soft.
Jin nodded eagerly. "I can... and if I can't, I'll learn," he said confidently, his eyes shining with resolve.
Jungkook's smile grew wider. He loved this about Jin-his desire to make people happy, even when it came to the smallest things like cooking. But deep down, Jungkook couldn't forget how Jin had nearly hurt himself before.
"Jin... baby, I know you want to make me happy by cooking for me. And trust me, I love your food. But..." Jungkook's playful tone softened as his expression turned serious. "I don't want you to push yourself too hard. I remember how you almost burned yourself while making those dumplings for me."
