The next day, Jungkook slowly entered the classroom, his mind occupied by thoughts of a certain person who had kept him awake the entire night. He couldn't sleep an inch, tossing and turning as thoughts of Jin flooded his mind, in every second.
"G-good morning, Jin," Jungkook muttered silently to himself, his voice barely audible. Why was he feeling so nervous all of a sudden? He couldn't quite understand it.
"Good morning, Jungkook. How was your night?" Jin's voice, soft and distinct, cut through the morning air, causing Jungkook's heart to skip a beat.
"Terrible," Jungkook whispered, his voice tinged with frustration. He hadn't slept a wink all night, and it annoyed him to no end that he couldn't pinpoint the reason why.
"Jungkook, are you there?" Jin's voice rang out again, breaking through Jungkook's inner turmoil.
Ahh, that voice...gosh, i hate it. Jungkook shouted in his mind as Jin's voice, specially while saying his name always sounded...so good and intimating, in a way Jungkook can't quite explain, He couldn't deny the effect Jin's voice had on him, even though a part of him resented it.
"Yes?" Jungkook nervously replied, shifting uncomfortably as he sat beside Jin on the bench, the class slowly filling up with students.
"No, you were just too quiet, so I asked if you were there. I could still feel your presence by your scent, so I was just making sure," Jin explained with a smile. "By the way, did you like the cake? Feel free to say if it was bad. I said it was my second time, so it may not have turned out well."
"I- It was fine...actually, really good," Jungkook stammered out, as he remember how good the cake actually was. Better then high level bakers. He wasn't a fan of eating sweet stuff, he also couldn't deny that the cake was really too good, not too sweet or less, just perfect.
"Ah, really? I'm so happy to hear that," Jin beamed, his happiness evident in his eyes and smile. Jungkook gulped nervously as he rested his face on his hand, unable to tear his gaze away from Jin, who was now humming a song softly as he wrote in his notebook. Jungkook hadn't even noticed when the teacher entered the class, or when Jin stood up to greet her. He was completely lost in watching Jin, fascinated by every movement and expression.
As time passed, Jungkook remained fixated on Jin, hardly moving a muscle. His eyes were glued to him, unable to break away from the sight.
Meanwhile, Jimin and Taehyung exchanged surprised glances and barely contained their smiles as they noticed Jungkook's intense focus on the oblivious Jin.
"Jeon Jungkook!"
The sudden call from the teacher made Jin flinch, and he quickly nudged Jungkook, drawing his attention. "Jungkook, she's calling you," Jin whispered urgently, he wasn't sure where Jungkook focus was on. He still hoped to divert Jungkook's focus to the teacher. But Jungkook remained fixated on Jin, paying no heed to the teacher's call."Jeon Jungkook, stop staring at whatever you are staring at and focus on the class," the teacher reiterated, her tone becoming more stern.
Jungkook, still not breaking his gaze from Jin, retorted with a mischievous smirk, "How do you know if I am focusing on the class or not? Were you staring back at me, Miss?" His words were laced with a hint of sarcasm as he glanced at the teacher, his infamous bad-boy smirk firmly in place. "Do you find me hot too, Miss? Wanna hang out?"
"Jeon Jungkook!" The teacher's exasperated call echoed through the classroom.
"I guess you liked my name, which is why you keep calling for me. How sweet!" Jungkook chuckled, his words clearly embarrassing the teacher as she struggled to respond.
