Jin sat comfortably in Jungkook's room, the soft light streaming in through the curtains, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. He had been turning the thought over in his mind for a while now, the idea of eye surgery nagging at him more than he wanted to admit. With a slight hesitation, he finally decided to voice his thoughts.
“Jungkook...” Jin began, his heart racing slightly as he prepared to lay bare his feelings.
“Yes, baby?” Jungkook replied, his voice warm and inviting.
Jin took a deep breath, gathering his courage. “What do you think about me... having eye surgery?”
Jungkook’s eyes shot open in surprise, his brows knitting together in confusion. “Huh? What? Why all of a sudden?”
Jin turned to face Jungkook, even though he couldn't see him. “Nothing, I just... I want to see you. I really want to see you,” he confessed, his voice soft but laced with longing.
Jungkook’s expression softened at Jin’s words, a mix of concern and understanding flooding his features. “But Jin, you’ve always been beautiful to me, with or without sight. You don’t need to change anything for me.”
Jin shook his head, a sense of determination building inside him. “I know, but it’s not just about you. It’s about me too. I want to experience the world in a way I haven’t been able to before. I want to see your smile, your eyes when you look at me… I want to see us.”
The sincerity in Jin's voice struck a chord with Jungkook. He moved closer, wrapping his arms around Jin and pulling him into a gentle embrace. “I understand. But what if something goes wrong? What if you don’t like what you see?”
Jin felt the warmth of Jungkook’s body against his, grounding him as he continued to speak. “I’ve thought about that. But I also think about all the things I’ve missed. I want to see the beauty in everything, and most importantly, I want to see you.”
Jungkook was silent for a moment, contemplating Jin’s words. The vulnerability in Jin’s admission resonated deeply with him. “If this is what you truly want, then I’ll support you. I want you to be happy, Jin. You deserve to see the world in all its colors.”
Jin’s heart swelled at Jungkook’s response, his mind racing with possibilities. “You’ll be there with me, right? Through the process?”
“Always,” Jungkook promised, his voice firm and reassuring. “I’ll be right by your side, every step of the way.”
A smile broke across Jin’s face, warmth spreading through him. “Thank you, Kookie. That means everything to me.”
With that, they sat together in comfortable silence, Jin feeling more determined than ever to take this step for himself. He couldn’t wait to see the world anew, with Jungkook’s love guiding him every step of the way.
As Jungkook held Jin close, he couldn’t shake the heavy thoughts swirling in his mind. He stared out the window, the sunlight filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the room. He felt Jin’s warmth against him, a soothing reminder of how far they had come together. Yet, the weight of a secret loomed over him, gnawing at his conscience.
He had been the one to drive away that day, ignoring Jin’s presence entirely. At the time, he had been consumed by anger and frustration, blinded by his own emotions. Jungkook remembered how he had wanted to escape the chaos of his feelings, but in doing so, he had left Jin vulnerable and exposed. The guilt washed over him again, a bitter reminder of his past mistakes.
Jungkook's grip on Jin tightened slightly as he imagined how Jin would react when he finally revealed the truth. Would Jin be angry? Hurt? Would he feel betrayed by the very person who was supposed to protect him? Jungkook couldn't help but worry. Jin had always been so forgiving, but this was different. This was a moment that could shatter the fragile trust they had built.
