Meanwhile, outside the room, Jungkook's warm demeanor vanished, replaced by the icy, unyielding expression he was known for in the darker parts of his life. He stood face to face with the doctor, his posture rigid and his voice devoid of any warmth.
"How is he? Mentally, emotionally, physically, I need to know every little detail," he demanded, his tone leaving no room for evasion.
The doctor, sensing the intensity in Jungkook's eyes, took a deep breath before replying.
"It's a bit difficult to summarize. For now, he's stable, but I can't guarantee how long that will last. The results indicate he has suffering from deep trauma," the doctor said, carefully choosing his words. Jungkook's eyes narrowed, the muscles in his jaw tightening as he listened.
"After what you've told me, it is clear that certain events have triggered his trauma. As per your request, we conducted a thorough examination of his entire body," the doctor continued, his voice growing more serious. "We found numerous injuries, bruises across his back, and more concerning, a distinctive mark on his waist. It's not just a bruise; it appears to be a burn mark, as if something extremely hot was pressed against his skin."
Jungkook's face hardened further, his expression darkening with each word. His hands clenched into fists at his sides, the veins on his arms bulging with restrained fury. The thought of anyone inflicting such pain on Jin made his blood boil, a dangerous fire igniting in his chest.
"Are you certain?" Jungkook's voice was a low growl, barely controlled. The doctor, sensing the storm brewing beneath Jungkook's surface, nodded.
"Yes, the evidence is undeniable. Whether these injuries were accidental or intentional, I can't say for certain. But given the severity, it's clear that Jin has endured a great deal of suffering," the doctor replied cautiously, aware of the implications his words carried.
Jungkook's mind raced, his thoughts clouded with a red haze of anger. Whoever had dared to hurt Jin, whether it was an accident or not, would pay dearly. He would make sure of that. No one, absolutely no one, would get away with harming the person he cherished the most.
"Thank you," Jungkook finally said, his voice cold and devoid of any gratitude. "I'll make sure he gets the care he needs. But this isn't over. I will find out who did this, and when I do..." His voice trailed off, but the unspoken threat hung heavily in the air.
"What can I do for him?" Jungkook asked, changing his voice.
"He needs time, patience, and a lot of emotional support. Surround him with people he trusts and who can make him feel safe. It's also important to avoid anything that could trigger his trauma. If he has any memories of the event, don't push him to remember, let him talk about it when he's ready. Physically, the injuries will heal, but the emotional scars will take much longer."
Jungkook didn't respond. He turned on his heel and walked away, his mind already planning the next steps. Whoever was responsible for Jin's pain was about to experience a world of suffering unlike anything they could imagine. Jungkook would make sure of that.
Jungkook took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm inside him. He knew he had to keep himself composed.
Returning to the room, Jungkook saw Jimin and Taehyung chatting lightly with Jin, who was smiling at something Jimin had said.
The sight of Jin's smile brought a rush of warmth to Jungkook's heart, momentarily easing the tension that had built up inside him.
Jin turned his head slightly as Jungkook approached, recognizing his presence even without seeing him. "Jungkook, you're back...everything okay?" Jin asked softly.
