"Jin, can't we go to your house?" Jungkook asked.
"Oh, you want to come over?" Jin replied, surprised.
"Yes, if you say so."
"I'd love to have you over. I thought you didn't like coming over, so I didn't mention it."
"Why do you assume such things on your own? If you want to invite me, you can. And you're not getting a negative answer, ever."
"Then are you coming?" Jin asked excitedly.
"Yep. After school ends."
Jin nodded, smiling, and continued to write.
Remembering something, Jungkook stood up and said, "I'm coming. Wait here."
"Oh, okay." Jin wondered where he went before continuing to study.
Meanwhile, Jungkook felt a tumult of emotions stirring inside him as he left the room and walked down the hallway. His steps were purposeful as he made his way to the nearby shop before heading to the teacher's room.
He then found himself standing in front of the teacher's room. He gulped down as he looked at the chocolate bar in his hand, wondering why he was there and why his mind and heart weren't listening to him.
Soon, the teacher Jungkook had misbehaved with came out of the office room to go to her other classes and bumped into Jungkook. She angrily huffed and was about to leave when Jungkook suddenly spoke, stopping her.
"M-Miss..." Jungkook began, "C-can we talk?"
Miss Lee was surprised to see the most rebellious student so nervous in front of her, and he even called her 'Miss' with such softness and politeness. It was the first time she had ever seen him like this.
Curious, she nodded as Jungkook led her to an empty place. Miss Lee stood with her arms crossed.
Awkwardness and uncertainty filled Jungkook as he gulped down and handed her a large chocolate bar, his gesture saying more than words could convey.
"T-this is for you... I-I actually don't know what to give to anyone whom I have misbehaved with. Y-you see... I know my earlier acts were really disgusting, I won't do it again. Uhm, I-I feel bad for doing that... So uhm, forgive me... No, I mean..." Jungkook was confused; he was too arrogant to utter 'sorry.' He wanted to apologize but didn't know how to do it.
However, his gestures and behavior were enough for Miss Lee to understand what her student was trying to say. Miss Lee chuckled, surprised by the unexpected indirect apology from the usually rebellious student.
"I understand what you are trying to say here," she smiled as she accepted the chocolate. "Thank you, Jungkook," she said warmly, touched by his genuine effort to make amends. "This is unexpected. Although I am happy you realize your mistakes. I forgive you."
"Really?"
"Yes. I can actually see you are a good kid. Don't worry, I am not mad, and thanks for the chocolate. I like chocolates." She smiled warmly.
Jungkook ruffled his hair and shuffled his feet awkwardly, speechless, unable to articulate his feelings but grateful for her forgiveness. He had never expected such a reaction from the teacher, who was accustomed to his rebellious antics. Her smile, genuine and forgiving, warmed a part of Jungkook's heart he hadn't known existed.
Jungkook found himself unexpectedly moved by the teacher's kind gaze and forgiving nature. It was a feeling he had never experienced before, the simple act of being good to someone and receiving genuine forgiveness in return.
