It's from V. Before he left for work, he stopped here for a while to deliver this food." Jennie smiled and lifted her chopsticks to Lisa's mouth. "No matter how nutritious the food made by the hospital is, if you eat it every day, you will definitely get bored. It tastes too bland and definitely hurts your stomach."

Lisa smiled and pushed her hand. "You eat first. I'm not hungry."

Jennie looked at him and saw that he wasn't annoyed by the fact that V sent these lunch boxes. It seemed that his trust in her had always been the same. Only the Old Man was still on guard this time.

Lisa always believed in her and understood her. Jennie felt really blessed for having such a husband in her life. He had given her a bright path, allowing her to foresee the eternal happiness of the future.

"Let's eat together. Let me feed you." Jennie put the chopstick back to his mouth. She no longer felt distressed or worried because of Old Man's warning just now.

With a smile on his lips, Lisa opened his mouth and ate the rice.

Jennie lowered her head to pick a piece of meat and rice before feeding it to him again. Seeing that she insisted on letting him eat first, Lisa could only helplessly smile and open his mouth. "Alright, that's enough. Eat your food. You haven't eaten well and slept well in the last few days, don't forget that you're not alone right now."

Jennie glared at him. "Then hurry up and get well soon. When you can go out and come home, it will be easier for me to cook dinner for myself every day. The food outside is really awful."

Lisa couldn't help but laugh at her.

Soon, there was a knock on the ward door. The doctor came in with Old Man. The doctor came to change the bandage, so Jennie stepped away.

As the Old Man walked by and saw that the food in the box in her hand was indeed something she liked to eat. He sighed faintly.

Jennie hesitated for a moment as the Old Man looked at her this way. She put down the food box and went to pour the glass of water. "Grandpa, have some water."

Old Man looked at her and nodded but did not say anything.

Jennie didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She silently glanced at the bed. When Lisa noticed her gaze, he glanced at the Old Man and then glanced back at her. He saw the bitterness that could not be hidden in her eyes. He asked with a smile, "What's wrong with you, grandpa? How did Jennie offend you?"

Old Man held onto his cane and just glanced at him. "It's nothing. I didn't sleep well last night, so I got a bit angry after waking up."

The corner of Jennie's mouth twitched.

This was indeed a good reason.

Lisa's face darkened. "You got up from the bed and are not in a good mood, so why are you throwing a tantrum at your grandson's wife?"

"You brat! Meddling in other people's business when you're injured? Do you really think that your grandfather cares about you dearly and doesn't dare to swing his cane to beat you up?" The Old Man snorted.

Lisa smiled. It was rare for him to have such a carefree look on his face. He talked back to his grandfather like a little kid. "If you really dare to beat me, then I really won't dare to run."

Old Man snorted and glared at him, "You dare to mess with your grandfather now, aren't you afraid your wife will laugh at you!"

When Jennie heard this, she burst out laughing.

Old Man turned his head and looked at her. Jennie's eyelids furrowed and she immediately stopped smiling. The corner of her mouth tremble slightly,

"I have already said that you will definitely forget your mother and your grandfather just because you have a wife. You think I will completely forget about your punishment?!" The Old Man snorted and walked with his cane. He lifted his cane and poked Lisa's uninjured legs under the blanket.

"Which leg do you want to limp? No need for you to decide. I've made up my mind!"

This time, Lisa's face turned completely black. Before he could even open his mouth, Jennie was already rushing to pull Old Man's arm. "Grandpa, he's just joking. Don't take it to your heart."

"If I don't take it seriously, this child will not be obedient! You can't even run while lying here, and you even dare to oppose your grandfather?! Now that you have expanded your wings, not only you fly, but you also become cocky!"

Old Man pointed at him angrily. "Hurry up and heal up, take your wife home! Are you happy watching your wife suffer with you in the hospital all day?"

Lisa's eyes twitched as he turned around and glanced at his wife.

Jennie also looked at him with an amused face. She couldn't help but smile at him.

"The injuries on my body are about to heal and maybe I can get discharged in a few days. I can take care of myself, why don't you go back to Greenville Residence tonight?" Lisa didn't seem to be joking this time.

Evidently, at times like these, Greenville Residence was the safest place. He didn't have to worry about Jennie occasionally wandering around alone.

"No! You've only been awake for a few days. You can't go anywhere without anyone supervising you." Jennie glared at him before turning her head to the Old Man. "Grandfather, you see, Lisa's physique was originally very good. It's already good enough for him to recover to this state. You have to be patient."

Old Man crossed his arms over his cane and glanced at her. "Who's the one worried about Lisa all day? Who's the one worried that his wounds will be infected and that he will not recover well? Go to the toilet in the middle of the night with a pair of swollen red eyes?"

Jennie immediately fell silent.

No wonder when she went to the toilet these two days, she felt as if someone was looking at her as she walked down the corridor, but when she turned around, no one was there. Turned out it was the Old Man. He's been watching her.

In the blink of an eye, Lisa silently glanced at Jennie. Although he didn't say anything, his eyes were full of warmth.

Old Man might not have been in a good mood all day, but with the ruckus, he was smart enough to leave.

After Old Man left, Lisa held Jennie's hand and whispered, "After I get discharged, we will go home together."

Jennie knew that Lisa's wounds could already be considered to be healing very well these few days. After a week, the wounds will only be scabbed, and returning to Greenville Residence to rest will be fine. She nodded her head, "Okay, if nothing is wrong, we will head back to Greenville Residence."

Time flew by in a flash.

Half a month later...

Jennie had just returned from buying vegetables at a nearby supermarket, and before she walked to the Greenville Residence's Complex, she suddenly saw two figures not too far in front of her.

"Kai! Stop right there! Didn't you say that you are going to meet your relative, who has just moved from F City? Why did you come to Greenville Residence? Who is your relative, huh! Is it Jennie?! This is the residence of President Manoban and Jennie! What are you doing here!"

Jennie immediately saw the neatly dressed Krystal arrogantly walking out of one of the cars. She slammed the car door and rushed in front of Kai, who was standing next to the other car.

She suddenly realized that she hadn't seen them for a long time.

Ever since the Construction Bureau and Jung Group incident, Kai had become much more low-key, causing Jennie to almost forget that such a person had appeared in her life.

Kai said impatiently, "I am here to meet my aunt, why are you blindly following me!"
