Lisa's face was calm as he asked, "Where is she?"

"Outside grandpa's ward. Grandpa had just fallen asleep, but he woke up because of her loud cries. She just came to make a fuss. She was kneeling outside the room. It seemed she had been overwhelmed by her impulsiveness yesterday, and now she regretted it, she tried to approach grandpa and begging for mercy. She knelt in front of the door, crying and won't leave until grandpa talked to her." Somi said with an annoyed face. "Did she really think that grandpa would always be her savior?! I've really never seen such a cheap woman!"

Lisa seemed to be in deep thought. He walked towards Somi and asked, "How's grandpa?"

Somi didn't come in but leaned over Lisa's shoulder and waved her hand at Jennie.

Jennie smiled at Somi's actions, and then she saw her stand on her tiptoes and whisper something into Lisa's ear.

"You go over first, don't let her meet grandpa. I'll be there shortly." Lisa gestured for Somi to return to the Old Man's side first.

Somi nodded and turned away.

Jennie watched Somi leave before Lisa went back to her bed and helped her lie down. "You rest first. I'll go see grandpa. If you can't sleep, you can talk to the babies, hmm?"

Lisa bent down and kissed her. With a clear and calm smile on her face, Jennie nodded her head obediently. "Go, I'm fine."

"Don't wander around!" Just as Lisa was about to leave, he suddenly turned around and said in a serious tone.

Jennie giggled. "Go, don't worry about me. I'm not a child!"

Lisa's gaze became gentle as he sighed, "I already said that with me by your side, you don't have to be worried." The words that came out of his mouth contained a bit of heartache and a sense of affection. He then smiled and left the ward.

Only after Lisa left, Jennie got up. Her stomach was still uncomfortable, but her body was still quite agile.

To be honest, she can't be blamed for being so careful about Diana. She was worried that Diana still had some extraordinary trick in her sleeve. She was worried that Diana will continue to trick Old Man. That's why she couldn't be at ease lying in the ward like this.

Her ward was on the obstetric side, on the seventh floor. The Old Man's ward was on the orthopedics side, and she had to pass through the corridor between the two floors. Jennie went to the receptionist desk to ask the Old Man's room before walking there.

Jennie had just raised her hand to knock on the door when she suddenly heard Diana crying.

"Grandpa, please forgive me. I really didn't want you to get hurt. I was impulsive yesterday, I just ..."

"After what had happened, you still don't want to admit you were wrong?!" Chitthip sighed. The normally calm tone was now filled with impatience.

"Jennie forced me to do that! Grandpa, mom, please think about it. Before Jennie married into the Family, what did I look like? After she married into the family, how did I look? I was forced into this state by her!" Diana shouted. "I just want to target her! I don't want to ruin the Family! I don't want to hurt grandpa!"

"Grandfather, please forgive me. Let me take care of you, okay?"

"Forget about it. I'm afraid that if you act impulsively and lose your head, you'll kill the Old Man who could have lived to a hundred years of age." Somi reprimanded her. "Are you done yet? Letting Uncle Li and the others watch you by pretending to be a white lotus, you even have the guts to ask them to send you to the hospital. You are really looking for death! Did you come here to act? There's a time for acting. Didn't you see how's grandpa now? Did you know he almost died on the operation table last night?"

"Grandfather..." Diana continued to cry.

As Jennie listened, she couldn't help herself from opening the door and entered, wanting to see how the Old Man was doing. However, when she opened the door, she saw Marco kick Diana away as she was about to pounce on the Old Man's bed.

"Grandfather..." Diana continued to cry as she crawled up on the ground and wiped her tears away. She looked pitifully at Old Man, who was on the bed with his eyes closed but was frowning as if he was annoyed by the noise. "I know my wrongs. I will never dare to do it again!"

"The Family gave you too many chances, but you didn't cherish it. You should have known your mistake since the first time you were given a chance. It's too late to regret now!" As Chitthip spoke, she turned around to check on the IV drips.

Afterward, she sighed and said, "Lisa, quickly get someone to take her away. The Old Man is too weak now. He couldn't stand this annoying voice."

"Grandfather... I know you're awake. Can you talk to me for a moment? Grandpa, don't ignore me. I really know my mistakes."

Seeing Jennie enter, Lisa frowned and walked to her side, protecting her behind him. He didn't want to give Diana another chance to attack her.

Jennie wasn't that weak. What had happened last night was because of a moment of carelessness, but Lisa's misgivings were natural, that's why she didn't say anything when he did that. Jennie took the opportunity to look at the Old Man by the bed, then she carefully walked towards him, getting closer to the bed.

Seeing that it was Jennie, Chitthip didn't try to stop her. She just looked at her, indicating that she had to speak softly.

Jennie nodded and carefully bent over. Leaning against the bed, she whispered, "Grandpa ..."

As expected, the Old Man had not slept. When he heard Jennie's voice, his eyebrows furrowed and he slowly opened his eyes. He turned his head with much effort and looked at her, "Spoiled girl, are you all right?"

Jennie's heart ached as she carefully held the Old Man's thin hand, "Mn, I'm fine now. Grandpa, you risked your life to save me, how are you? Does it hurt? This is all my fault. You had suffered because of me."

Old Man smiled as if he didn't hear the sound of Diana crying while holding tightly onto Jennie's hand. The Old Man then thought of something and said meaningfully, "Good child, don't blame yourself. Grandpa had let you down, grandpa owes you."

"Grandfather, what are you talking about? Didn't you explain the misunderstanding? How can you owe me? This is all just a misunderstanding!" Jennie comforted him in a low voice.

Old Man just smiled and didn't explain anything. Hearing Diana crying and begging for mercy, he sighed and waved his hand, "Quick! Diana out of here. The Family can't tolerate having a person like her and this Old Man can't even afford to hurt her. Don't let me drive her away with my own hands, you guys handle it."

After he said that, the Old Man closed his eyes. His entire body was filled with the exhaustion and powerlessness of someone who had just been wounded.
