When she left the Civil Affairs Bureau, Jennie still couldn't believe what was happening. It had only been half an hour, but Lisa had already returned to her world.
After leaving the Civil Affairs Bureau, she immediately reacted and violently turned towards him. "No! You did it on purpose."
Lisa's lips curved into a faint smile as he looked at her. "What do you mean by that?"
"Pretending to be innocent, huh? You actually dare to play psychological warfare with me! Even though you know that I have long felt uncomfortable, you are still taking advantage and deliberately watching me suffer." Jennie stomped her foot in frustration. "When I passed the side of the road earlier, you saw me! You clearly saw me! You made me think I really lost you. You scared me! You deliberately let my imagination run wild for the entire evening."
Lisa didn't refute, he just smiled and pulled her into his embrace. "You want to go back on your word?"
The corner of Jennie's mouth twitched. She wanted to hit him, but Lisa just smiled warmly like a warm spring snow. All the winter haze and snow melted little by little, revealing the natural colors of the earth.
She couldn't bear to hit him, so she glared at his smiling expression, "You're too despicable. I'll let Leo and Lily piss all over your body later. Let's see if you still dare to bully their mother!"
Lisa took her hand and gripped it tightly. "It's too late for you to regret now. You can forget about getting a divorce in this lifetime. Miss Kim, you were born to be Lisa's woman, and you died as his ghost girl. Accept your fate, huh?"
Jennie was so angry that she didn't know whether she should laugh or cry. At that moment, her eyes suddenly glanced at several figures standing outside the Civil Administration Bureau.
The smiling Chitthip and Marco, also the Old Man, who dressed in a neat suit, were standing there watching both of them. Old Man was smiling so much that his face looked like it was about to blossom.
Jennie was stunned for a moment and slowly stopped in her tracks as she walked out.
"Jennie, thank you for returning to our Family." Marco's eyes shone when he saw Jennie's and Lisa's hands and sincerely said, "I had done something disdainful. Although it wasn't Chaerin who left and it was Jia, but I knew that they were the same in your heart. For the last two years, you often meet with us with your children to make up for the loss of Lisa, who is far away in America. You are a good child. Today I will officially apologize to you. I will not speak about what happened that year, but Jennie, the Manoban Family are fortunate for having you as part of our family."
Marco was the first to speak. His eyes looked at her with a hint of gentleness in his stern eyes, as well as a layer of benevolence that was gradually coming out because of time and remorse, making it impossible for people to look directly at him.
Jennie's nose twitched as she stood in front of them. She was speechless. She slowly turned her head to look at Lisa.
His gaze gave her the courage to face all this again. After all, she was the one who left him heartlessly, left the Manoban Family, and no matter who was at fault, no matter how much love and hatred there were between them, she still couldn't find the right feelings when she once faced them. It's only now that she realized that Greenville Residence would forever be her home and the Manoban Family was part of it too. She didn't know how she could leave all of this just like that because of her frustration back then.
"Jennie, it's been two years. Mom has been waiting for this day to come. Mom is glad that you're back." Chitthip walked over, took her hand from Lisa, held it with a smile. "Mom knows that you and Lisa will return to Greenville Residence to take care of the children, so mom will wait for you both to warm up for a few days. Then, please take the children and stay at Manoban Residence for a while, okay? Mom can cook some meals now, and mom learned it from Nanny Cheng! It'll definitely be delicious!"
Jennie was on the verge of tears, but she burst into laughter at Chitthip's words.
Chitthip also laughed.
In these past two years, even though Jennie brought her children back with her, she never called them 'mom, dad or grandpa'. On the surface, she's just being polite, but in reality, she's very far from it.
If it weren't for her children, maybe she wouldn't have come to the Residence and even it wasn't her mother who died, but the logic was still the same.
Jia was still V's mother and she wasn't selfish enough to leave the past matters just like that. But two years had passed, and even V had stopped hating the Manoban Family because, in the end, they had accepted Jia. How could she have so many grievances? However, there was always a knot in her heart.
At this point, Old Man was looking at her with a smile. His eyes were full of anticipation and a little remorse and concern. He seemed afraid that she wouldn't forgive him, afraid that she would just turn around and leave.
Jennie's tears fell immediately. With a sob, she called out with a smile, "Grandpa."
"Sigh!" Old Man was so happy that his tears were about to fall.
"Dad." Jennie glanced at Marco again before looking at Chitthip enthusiastically. "Mom."
Chitthip's eyes immediately reddened.
Jennie hugged Chitthip, who smiled lovingly at her tightly, as if she was hugging someone more intimate than her own mother. She let all the tears she held back fall to her shoulders as she sobbed and called again in a soft voice, "Mom."
"Good child." Tears of joy filled Chitthip's eyes. While hugging Jennie, who was crying in her arms, she also looked at Lisa, who was smiling calmly behind her.
Lisa smiled and nodded at his mother, implying that he understood everything without her saying anything.
Chitthip nodded in satisfaction, hugging Jennie tightly and smiling happily.
V heard the news and rushed. The car stopped 40 meters away and he didn't walk forward. He just watched the scene from a distance and smiled sincerely.

Once they left the Civil Affairs Bureau, they went to the supermarket. "Leo and Lily like to drink the carp soup that I made the most. Let Sister He go home early tonight to rest. I'll make some soup for them." Jennie picked up a carp in the seafood area and looked at its size. Then, she turned her head with a smile towards Lisa, who was pushing a shopping cart full of food next to her. "You just came back from America, so you don't drink much fish soup over there, right? I'll make a little more so that you can eat until you're full!"
Lisa smiled. "Do you want to do it, or you're asking me to do it?"
Jennie's mouth twitched. Her culinary skills had always been pretty good. However, Lisa's culinary skills were something that even she worshipped. She glared at him. "When we go back home, one of us will be watching the children while the other will cook. We will work together!"
Lisa's handsome eyebrows were slightly raised. "All right, I'll take care of the children."
Jennie didn't say anything but looked at him with a cheerful smile.
Leo and Lily were two naughty kids. Sometimes, she couldn't do anything to them. On the other hand, Lisa had a fearless appearance and when he directly said that he wanted to look after the children, Jennie held back her laughter. Looks like he really didn't know how naughty these two little things were.
As they left the supermarket, Jennie fiddled with the items in the shopping bag and said, "I bought so much. Look, there's also this yogurt, which is your favorite. Leo also likes to drink it. This brand of yogurt is his favorite."
Jennie talked non-stop along the way. Although Lisa didn't say much, he kept smiling and looking like he was enjoying the moment.
The car headed to Greenville Residence and stopped outside the house. Just as Jennie was about to get out of the car, her arm was suddenly clenched. She turned her head quickly, only to see Lisa was already leaning forward and kissed the corner of her lip lightly. She was startled, and then her body immediately stiffened.
