Lisa looked at the doctor who was checking Nancy's condition. His eyes were calm as he looked at Nancy, who was weeping silently.

"Mr. Manoban, Mrs. Manoban." The doctor and the two nurses covered Nancy's body with a blanket before turning around and nodding respectfully to them. "We've already given her sedatives to calm her down. She just woke up not long ago and needs to rest. If you do need to interrogate her, you can come back later."

Jennie nodded politely. "I'm talking to her just now without paying any attention to her health. I apologize for having caused a lot of trouble to you."

"Mrs. Manoban is too serious, I heard that this female criminal is from the Kim Family, which previously dominated our city. We have heard about many of her evil deeds before, and I am sure she will be punished for dishonesty in prison. Even if we are just people from the hospital, we are only responsible for saving lives, but now that she has received retribution, it looks like heaven is really fair when judging people."

Who couldn't tell that this doctor was purposely fawning over them with pleasing words? Jennie just smiled and said nothing more.

Lisa signaled to the two policewomen to escort the doctor and the nurses out. Then he slowly walked to the edge of the bed and looked at Nancy, who was lying there silently.

Nancy's eyes were half opened as she stared at him. Her eyes were filled with hatred, injustice, and anger.

"Nancy." Lisa was still her elder brother, after all. Although they are not from the same mother and father, they are still blood-related siblings on Chitthip's side.

He calmly looked at her, but there was no sadness or hatred in his eyes. He just slightly frowned, as if he was still too disappointed with Nancy's behavior in the last two years.

He looked at Nancy and said softly, "In this world, you are not the only one who will feel unfair. Suicide is not the best solution."

"Heh." Nancy's half-open eyes filled with tears as she weakly asked, "What kind of tone is that? Do you think you're still the same Lisa who I used to like to depend on?"

Lisa just looked at her indifferently, not saying another word.

"What do my life and death have anything to do with you? You personally sent me to prison, personally destroyed my Family, and even destroyed everything my mother had accomplished. Do you still dare call my mother your aunt?" Nancy laughed. "Lisa, you're really vicious just for that bitch, Jennie."

After Jennie heard this, she walked over and said directly, "The one who destroyed the Kim Family is not him but the mother you love the most. She was the one who taught you to use illegal methods to escape from jail, thus attracting the attention of prosecutors."

Before Jennie could complete her sentence, Lisa had already raised his hand to her, signaling her not to worry.

All of this was caused by the people of the Kim Family, and they brought this upon themselves. Lisa only linked the mastermind to the two kidnapping plans. The evidence in the adultery case was handed over to the court, and he had blocked the Kim Family from finding people to save Nancy easily. As for other things, how could he possibly have time to keep an eye on them? He was not involved with everything that had happened to the Kim Family, so how could he receive retribution?

After being accused like this, Lisa was neither angry nor annoyed. He only indifferently looked at Nancy, who stared at him angrily, and slightly moved his elegant lips, "Jennie is my wife, even though I destroyed the Kim Family after everything they had done, that still makes sense. Nancy, who exactly has gone too far, you, yourself, should know more about this."

"Lisa!" Seeing Lisa didn't want to explain himself, Jennie wanted to say something, but she stopped herself when she saw him just looking calmly at Nancy without a single emotion in his eyes.

Nancy suddenly choked with sobbing. "It doesn't matter if we're close relatives or not, you're my cousin. After all, can't you let my parents go just because of this little blood relationship? Are you really cold-blooded?"

Lisa just laughed. "That's right, it doesn't matter if we're close relatives or not, a little blood relationship should be taken into consideration in doing everything. Then what about Jennie? She is your sister. How do you treat her? And what did the people from the Kim Family have done to her? Did you ever think of this relationship when you instructed those people to hurt her? Is there a trace of compassion in your heart?"

Nancy was once again speechless. She looked at him with red eyes, feeling wrong. "I ... I just ..."

"You didn't really destroy her, didn't kill her, so you thought you were completely innocent? You felt persecuted, and during these two years in prison, you think you lived a life worse than death. Then how about Jennie? Have you ever experienced her suffering? She has been living a life worse than the daughter of the servant for thirteen years. Do you really think your suffering could compare to her?"

"Nancy, when you try to find a way to hurt others, do you ever think that the person you hurt is also quietly begging in her heart, begging for you to let her go?"

Lisa just looked at Nanct from beginning to end. His voice was calm, without much ripple, but each word pointed directly at Nancy, making her unable to speak.

Jennie stood silently next to Lisa, holding his hand. Lisa glanced at her before he gently intertwined both of their hands.

Jennie just wanted to live a new and better life. She had done it, but she didn't really want to hate the Kim Family and didn't want that hatred to affect her life. Therefore, she never hoped that there would be a day where she could lift her head proudly and felt satisfied.

However, since Lisa appeared in her life, she was like a colorful cloud blooming in the blue sky, dazzling and breathtaking.

The words she spoke to Nancy today were not for revenge, but the words she had kept in her heart for years. She finally got a chance to talk to her for a long time.

Jennie suddenly smiled. She played with Lisa's fingers happily.

So what if she's happy?

How could she not be happy to have a husband like Lisa? Why did she need to hide it?

Jennie turned around and looked at Nancy.

Nancy was no longer able to speak due to her weakened state; however, her eyes still contained traces of anger.

"Nancy, take good care of your body and go back to prison. Hopefully, by the time you can leave the prison, you are already grown-up."
