"Lisa! Wake up! Lisa, please! Please wake up!" Jennie hurriedly went to help Lisa, only to see that not only was his face pale, but his lips gradually turned blue too. She put her trembling hand under his nose, and her gaze suddenly changed, and then she hurriedly put her hand on the arteries of his neck.

"Lisa, please wake up! You can't fall asleep! Don't leave me, please!"

Jennie took a deep breath and continued to rub his hands together with hers to warm his body. She then raised her head to look at the sky.

While the rain still didn't stop, it was already down a bit. Jennie didn't know when the rain would stop. If this situation persists, she has no idea how long the two of them can survive.

The battery in the flashlight was already dead. Jennie turned off Lisa's phone to save the battery, then took out her own phone that still had some battery left and turned on the flashlight. Then she shone the light around the surrounding.

Jennie didn't know what she should do right now. If both of them could find a way out of here, they would have already done so. Even if she didn't want to resign both of their life to fate, she had no choice but to do so.

Perhaps, many things were already fated.

Jennie felt guilty and reluctant to part with Leo and Lily. However, at this point, she could not hold out much longer. She carefully hugged Lisa's cold body, hugged him tightly while continuing to rub his hands.

"Lisa, don't worry, I won't give up until the last moment, and you can't give up either. I know you're badly hurt, but you've been holding on for me for a long time. Please let me be a bit selfish, you can keep holding on for me, okay."

After an unknown amount of time, the glow of the cell phone that was constantly flashing gradually dimmed. She raised her head and noticed that the rain was slowly stopped. But the cell phone's battery was gradually weakening. Perhaps this dim light can no longer be seen by anyone more than 40 meters away.

Jennie hugged Lisa quietly, lowered her head, and kissed his face. She closed her eyes, and her heart was filled with desolation.

Just when she could no longer hold on and gradually stopped rubbing his hands, she suddenly heard a sound above. Someone on top raised a loudspeaker and shouted, "Is there someone below?!"

It sounded like a voice from a dream. Jennie snapped out of her daze and raised her head to look up. Her phone was still holding onto the last of its battery, flashing a faint light and someone had finally seen it.

Jennie carefully supported Lisa and let him lean to the side. She staggered for a bit before standing up and using all her strength to shout, "Yes! There are people down here! Lisa and I are down below!"

"President Manoban is here?!" Someone said shockingly and quickly ordered the rescue teams to start the rescue.

After Jennie shouted, she let out a deep breath, turned around, and squatted in front of Lisa and said, "Lisa! Someone came to save us! You'll be fine!"

The rescue team used the crane and rope and dug a bit of the nearby mountain path to walk down and save both of them.

When they were finally rescued, the provincial leader was so shocked seeing Lisa, who was unconscious and body full of wounds. He immediately asked the medical staff to treat him.

Jennie, who was standing behind them, shouted weakly, "He still has a pulse! It's too cold down there and his injuries are too severe! The wound on the back of his head is the most severe! He's not going to die! I won't let him."

Jennie's face was covered with bruises from a tree branch when she fell, and her body was covered in blood. No one knows what she relied on to survive until now and when they both were rescued, she asked them to save Lisa first.

Earlier, when a rescue mission was carried out, someone had told the province leader her identity. The province leader looked at Jennie in surprise, then ordered, "Quick, send Miss Kim too! Nothing must happen to President Manoban! You must save his life! Faster!"

The helicopter took them to the hospital in Imperial City. Although Imperial City was an earthquake zone, but 20% of the other buildings were undamaged. The hospital was already hectic, and there were a lot of injured people there, so when both of them were sent there, they were rushed to the emergency room due to their special status.

Jennie had also disappeared for a few days after she left H City and the news of Lisa's disappearance had also been announced on the news. When she woke up after being treated, she rushed to the emergency room in her semi-conscious state and found Marco and Chitthip already standing guard outside.

Upon seeing her approach, Chitthip looked at her in surprise, "Jennie."

When Jennie saw Marco, she just stood there in a sorry state and didn't say anything. Once the emergency room opened, she quickly pulled the doctor and asked, "Doctor, how is Lisa? Is he all right? He won't die, right? He should be fine, right?"

"The situation now is not good. We will definitely do our best to save him, but we have to ask the patient's family to be mentally prepared." The female doctor looked at Jennie helplessly. When she saw Jennie arrived right after being treated and her weak appearance, her heart ache. Jennie did not change her clothes, nor did she clean herself.

Jennie immediately leaned against the wall powerlessly.

"Why is she here?" Even though Marco's face was full of worry, when he looked at Jennie, his eyes were filled with suspicion, as well as a deep sense of distance.

"Child." Chitthip ignored him. With bloodshot eyes, she walked over and extended her hand to support Jennie, who was leaning against the wall.

Jennie could barely stand and was slowly sliding down.

"Were you trapped together with Lisa? You were with him, weren't you? Good child, mom knew you still love him. Mom also knew you were a kind child."

Jennie saw the tears in Chitthip's eyes and moved her lips, but she couldn't even say the words 'Mom'. She could only look at her silently.

The people who forced her mother to death were Marco and Old Man. Chitthip was innocent. Jennie won't vent her anger on her but right now, she didn't know what to say.

Just like when she insisted on getting a divorce, it wasn't because she was angry at Lisa, but because she had no other choice.

But to this day, she never asked for anything. She just hoped Lisa could survive.

Jennie stared at Chitthip silently for a long time before opening her mouth and saying in a hoarse voice, "Lisa will not die ..."

Chitthip nodded with tears in her eyes. "He won't die. Lisa would not die. Good child, mom knows you are hurting right now, but can you let mom hug you? You are the person my Lisa loves with his life. Mom can't see him now, so I can only hug you."

Jennie didn't move. She only looked at Chitthip with a blank face and at the tears in her eyes.

"Your body ... It smells like Lisa." Chitthip said in a very soft voice, "Jennie, let me give you a hug, okay?"

Jennie could no longer control herself and threw herself into Chitthip's arms, sobbing out loud.
