A few servants from the Manoban Family were waiting outside the room. When they heard the Old Man finally speak, they finally felt relieved. Lisa initially considered Old Man's mood and did not express his opinion, only intending to speak after the crowd left. Now that the Old Man had opened his mouth, he immediately signaled for the people outside to come in and pull Diana out.

"Grandfather! Grandfather!" Diana screamed in despair, clutching at the door frame crazily. "No, I won't leave! Let me go! Grandpa!"

Old Man frowned and waved his hand several times. The people outside understood what was going on and immediately dragged Diana away without mercy.

Watching Diana being taken away, Chitthip shook her head. "Truly sinful."

Old Man, however, said nothing. It was clear that the child he had raised for over twenty-two years had hurt his heart. Humans were created with a heart and intellect that knows how to distinguish what was right or wrong. Old Man didn't know how the child he had raised turned cruel. In the end, it was Diana who asked for it, and the Old Man couldn't be bothered to care about her anymore.

"Dad, Diana, that brat, has woken you up. Go back and rest. Look, Jennie is fine. She even came to see you. You should be relieved, right?" Marco said from the side of the bed.

The Old Man opened his eyes and looked at Jennie again. He seemed to have received a lot of satisfaction by having her as his granddaughter-in-law and grabbed her hand reluctantly. "Child, the Manoban Family has let you down. Grandpa shouldn't have treated you unfairly from the beginning."

It wasn't that Jennie didn't understand anything from the Old Man's words. She remembered a scene where Old Man suddenly forced Diana to stop talking when she threw the photos away.

She remembered what Diana said about the Manoban Family and their enemies.

However, she did not have the luxury of time to think about this situation when she felt a warm feeling on her shoulder.

Lisa came over to help her, and she let go of Old Man's hand, but at the same time, her heart felt heavy. She turned her head hesitantly to look at Liaa, who was full of concern for her and hesitated for a moment.

When they returned to the ward, even though Jennie was worried about whether the Old Man would be able to survive after receiving such a severe injury at a young age, there were also too many questions in her heart.

She had kept everything to herself for so long. It wasn't that she wasn't alert.

Could it be that Jia had gone crazy and her mother killed herself later on? Was this really not a coincidence?

Or, was this not only related to the Kim Family but the Manoban Family was also involved?

It was as if everyone had a serious expression when they mentioned this incident, and Senior Zhou seemed to know everything about that year. Senior Zhou hadn't shown up recently, and the only person who can tell her all about what had happened that year was Jia.

Lisa went out to get medicine and came back. Seeing Jennie sitting on the bed in a daze, he walked over and put the medicine on the bedside table. As he helped her lie down on the bed, he asked casually, "What are you thinking about?"

Jennie looked at Lisa's gentle eyes that were full of concern for herself. She paused, then hesitantly opened her mouth and said, "Lis, why do I always feel like you're hiding something from me?"

As Jennie said this, she kept staring at Lisa's expression.

At the same time, Lisa's hand that was pulling the blanket over her body also stopped a little, and he looked at her with an equally clear yet doubtful gaze.

Jennie continued to stare at him, not even blinking, as if she wanted to see the heart of this man who treated her better and better. To see all that was hidden beneath his bland surface.

"Is it because of Diana's words?" Lisa's voice was slightly tired, but he still smiled at her. He leaned against the bed, leaning down to kiss her eyebrows, he hugged her tightly.

His embrace was warm and comfortable, and when he stuck close to her, Jennie's heart, which had originally been somewhat unstable, calmed down. She only raised her eyes to look at him, "Diana really does have the ability to catch up with people's shadows and gossip. I feel that some of what she said yesterday wasn't some kind of nonsense."

Jennie hugged Lisa's neck as she spoke, leaned close to his face, and whispered, "Why would you want to tie up a woman who has a grudge with the Manoban Family by your side? Grandfather had hit his cane on the ground loudly to stop her from talking, but Lisa, I remember the situation clearly, and I saw your eyes at the time."

"You're really hiding something from me, aren't you?" Jennie's voice was very soft, she didn't press him, nor did she criticize him. "Didn't both of us promise that we would never hide anything from each other? Even if it's a white lie, we can share it all. This is what you said. Lisa, please don't let me think too much about this, okay"

Lisa lay by the bed, holding her in his arms silently. He did not answer her question, nor did he try to defend himself. Jennie only raised her eyes and asked patiently, not hiding her anxiety.

Jennie was a woman, and all women were sensitive. She knew that he was hiding something from her, but he didn't want to say it.

Since Jennie had already expected the outcome, she didn't get angry because he didn't want to explain at the moment. She just stayed in his embrace and rested her head on his arm. She kept her eyes open, looking at his handsome face and his thoughtful expression.

It wasn't until Jennie had gotten to the point where she was tired and decided to sleep, did Lisa call out her name.

"Jennie."

"Hmm?" Jennie raised her hazy head and looked at him again.

Lisa's slender fingers caressed her face. Then, he pinched her face as if he was trying to tease her. Jennie subconsciously tried to avoid it, but at the same time, she became more energetic. She looked back at him and saw that his eyes were filled with worry. A worry that he could not hide.

But what was he worried about?

Jennie curled up towards him and sniffed his scent. She smiled and asked, "I'm about to fall asleep. Why did you call me?"

Lisa chuckled as he brushed her hair. "It's nothing. Go back to sleep."

Jennie could clearly see Lisa's eyes filled with heartache and an apology that could not be hidden towards her, and every sensitive woman would clearly understand what was going on.

Diana's words were true.

Jennie didn't say anything. She suddenly hugged his waist and burying her face in his neck. In a soft voice, she said, "Lis, I heard Bella is seriously ill. Aren't you going to see her?"

Lisa's kiss fell on her hair. "I'll visit her later, but right now, nothing is more important as you."

Jennie smiled and went deeper into his embrace. "The most important thing is our babies."

"Yes, you and our babies." He gently caressed her head. "If you're tired, go to sleep. If you have something to ask, you can ask me after you wake up. Be good."

That's right, right now, she should sleep. If she had any questions, she would definitely know the answer at the time.

Jennie smiled, closing her eyes and wrapping herself around him like an octopus.

Lisa looked at her for a long time. Suddenly, he gently kissed her lips and whispered, "Wife, I will accompany you and watch our children slowly grow up. Don't leave me, okay?"

Finally, his kiss landed on her forehead.
