Chapter 476 - Happiness Beyond II

Seeing that she wasn't moving, the corner of Lisa's lips lifted slightly. He kissed her lightly and looked at her, his gaze changing from black to deeper. He then stroked her hair.

When Sister He heard the sound of the car, she pushed the door open and looked at it. Even though Jennie knew Sister He couldn't see them because of the tinted window, she still pushed Lisa away in embarrassment. "What are you doing? Let's get inside."

Lisa smiled and kissed her lips again. He looked meaningfully at her and she blushed. He then let her go. "You get out of the car first. I'll take the car to the parking lot there. I'll be there soon."

Jennie nodded. She opened the door and got out. Her heart was still beating fast, as if she were a young girl who was in love for the first time. She didn't know what to do.

"Didn't you say that you would be back in the afternoon? Why are you late? Oh, you bought so much stuff!" Sister He smiled as she came out and took the plastic bags from Jennie's hand. She then glanced at the Land Rover that was driving to the parking lot and asked with a smile, "Is that President Manoban?"

Sister He was in her forties, and she liked to chat with others about things that happened in various families. She also knew a little about Jennie's life, so from her expression, she guessed. "He's finally returned."

Jennie smiled calmly, "Sister He, are Leo and Lily asleep?"

"They haven't slept and are still awake until now. I don't know why these two children are so energetic today. They've been making noise and chasing each other around the house."

When Sister He mentioned these two children, she couldn't stop smiling. Although she was hired to take care of the children, Leo and Lily seemed to have become her fruit of joy.

"Looks like father and children are really connected. With their enthusiasm today, of course they know they're going to meet their father." Sister He smiled again. Seeing Lisa walking towards them, she exchanged glances with Jennie, then brought the plastic bags into the house.

"While you were in America, Sister Yanmei occasionally met with the children. Did she send you more photos?" Jennie heard him walk, so she turned around and asked.

Lisa smiled and put his arm around her shoulders before kissing her cheek. "During these two years of treatment and recuperation, the photos of you and the children are my only spiritual comfort."

"How long have you been unconscious?"

Lisa hesitated for a moment before sighing. "According to the doctor, I was unconscious for nearly three months. Although I woke up later, my body's movement was restricted in every aspect due to my injuries."

"Since you already woke up at that time, then why didn't you call me?" Jennie glared at him with hatred.

Lisa just smiled. "Wouldn't it be better if I returned to your side in good health?"

It went without saying that even though Lisa was awake, his leg bones were so badly shattered that he was not sure that he would be back to healthy as usual. He also did not expect that he would survive. He didn't want to disappoint her if he couldn't recover.

Was Jennie supposed to thank the heavens for returning Lisa to her?

Jennie's eyes were slightly red as she looked at him. Her hands would occasionally clench before she released her grip. She had almost lost him.

Noticing her little trick, Lisa shook his head with a smile and took her hand. "Let's get inside."

When they entered the door, they saw Sister He was busy putting the items in plastic bags into a freezer and cupboard, while Leo and Lily played in the living room. One of them was sitting in the kid's chair, while the other was lying lazily on the couch.

Leo was playing with the car V had bought not long ago and Lily casually threw the doll in her hand. She put her doll down and was about to snatch Leo's car when he cried out, "Stop bothering me. I want to play with my car!"

Jennie turned around to look at Lisa.

This was the first time Lisa had seen his children since their birth, and his eyes were indeed filled with unabashed joy, but he was in no hurry to walk towards them, and instead, he said with a sigh and laughed, "They're grown up. The first time I hugged them, they were so small that they looked like two little balls of meat that would crumble with a light touch."

Jennie glanced at him. "You were the first to hug them after they were born?"

"I didn't know how to hold them when they were delivered to me. It took me half an hour to learn it." With an embarrassed smile, Lisa walked inside.

The moment he walked towards the children, Leo, who was playing with the car, stopped. He raised his eyes and watched an unfamiliar man walking towards him with strange expressions.

Lily took the opportunity to grab the car in Leo's hands, then used her chubby little hand to prop herself up on the couch. Just as she was about to hide the car, she stared at a "man" who suddenly appeared before her.

The two little things had different expressions on their faces. One was shocked, the other curious; both their eyes stared at Lisa with wide eyes. Jennie suddenly began to laugh.

When he finally got close to the two little things, Lisa, who was always calm and steady as Mt. Tai, seemed not to know what to do. He just squatted next to the few pieces of foam bricks and looked at his children.

When Lily's drool almost dropped on the car in her hands, Lisa stretched out his hand towards them with a touch of nervousness and caution, "Come, let dada hug you."

Jennie stood in the doorway, unable to see Lisa's facial expression as he faced the children. Still, she thought that he must be very happy, like how she always looked at these two naughty little things.

No matter how naughty they were since at a young age, she felt incomparably satisfied.

Lily was drooling as she stared at Lisa, who was holding out his hands to her brother and herself. She was just curious a moment ago, but now her eyes widened as if she saw an alien invading Earth. She mumbled a word after a long time, "What?"

Jennie clearly saw Lisa stagger and almost fell to his knees. She immediately covered her mouth with her hand to stop the laughter from coming out.

"Mommy!" Leo's eyes that were on Lisa, automatically shifted to Jennie. He waved his chubby hand to her, then propped himself up with his hands on the floor as he stood, walking barefoot on the foam bricks on the floor. He completely ignored the "unknown man" in front of him and held out his hand towards Jennie. "Mommy."

Jennie walked towards him, but she didn't pick him up. She knelt beside Leo and pinched Leo's chubby face. "Leo, be good. This is your dada."

Although the past has turned to smoke, Lisa's inability to be close to his children was partly due to her. She couldn't bear to see her husband being bullied by two mischievous little things.

Jennie held Leo's body with one hand and turned his body sideways, making him look at Lisa. "Listen to me, this is your dada. Go, hug him."

Leo turned to look at Lisa. Lisa clapped his hands at him before spreading his hands, signaling for him to come.
