However, after lying down for a long time, Jennie opened her eyes again, then she saw that Lisa was still awake, looking at her in the predawn light.

She asked hesitantly, "Lis, have you experienced side effects from prolonged treatment resulting in insomnia?"

Although she didn't understand this aspect, she had heard from some of her friends that worked in foreign countries saying that there were some side effects due to certain drugs. While not causing much damage to the body, there will be some side effects for several months after successfully undergoing treatment.

Lisa looked at her and sighed. He did not deny it, nor did he agree. If he denied it, it would only make her more worried.

It seemed as if nothing had happened to him. However, in the year that he had spent recuperating in America, he had experienced too many hardships. He must have been having a bad time.

Jennie looked at Lisa with a pained expression. Leo and Lily, who were accustomed to the serenity in the bedroom, seemed to react a little to this conversation. They muttered softly in their dreams, turned around, and went into Lisa's arms.

Jennie had no choice but to shut her mouth. She looked anxiously at Lisa's calm gaze. When she saw that he was signaling her to sleep, she closed her eyes and forced herself to fall asleep again.

In her sleep, a familiar smell and a familiar warmth crept up her face.

There was also a familiar voice calling to her softly and a warm hand rubbing her forehead gently, pushing the hair on her forehead.

"Hmm?" Jennie murmured as she woke up slowly. As soon as she woke up, she instinctively looked at the alarm clock on the bedside table. It's nine o'clock in the morning.

Crap! She had originally planned to wake up early and accompany Lisa to play with the children!

"Are you awake?" A soft and pleasant voice entered her ears. It was low but carried a trace of dotting and pampering.

It's been two years, and the familiar warmth and serenity of happiness had finally returned to her. Even though Lisa was already there, and the smell of him was clear on her nose, Jennie felt as if she was still in a dream.

The bitterness in her heart stung her eyes, and her eyes immediately became teary. Jennie slowly touched his face, reminiscing the warmth of the morning and the reality in front of her eyes.

He was here.

Lisa took her hand and pressed it against his face. He then smiled faintly, "Jennie, have you lost your mind?"

The fog in her eyes grew thicker and thicker. Jennie had never been so fond of crying. In the end, her eyes couldn't stand it anymore and tears started to drop on her face. She was crying, but her lips grinned foolishly as she whispered his name. "Lisa."

Seeing her behavior, Lisa laughed as he pulled her hand down and kissed it. Then, he wiped the tears from her face. "Stupid girl, what are you crying for?"

Jennie sniffed and shook her head, unable to stop the tears. Probably every woman, before going to bed at night or waking up in the morning, was very sensitive and sentimental.

She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, and then she threw herself in his arm and wrapped her hand around his neck, sobbing, "Actually, I often dream about this scene. I always dream that you come back, that you are right next to me, and wake up together in the morning, and say goodnight to me before we go to bed. Every time I wake up from a dream, I'm in a daze for a long time, and it's hard for me to breathe. You're right. No one in this world can really survive without their other half. I always feel like my life is missing a piece, and no one can make up for it."

Lisa chuckled and sighed. With one hand behind her head, he then patted her back with the other hand. "So, has this piece been added?"

Jennie choked with tears as she nodded in his arms, but she couldn't utter a word. She tightened her grip on his neck, revealing her fear. She was afraid that all this was just a dream.

"Alright, I'll let you hug me for a moment, otherwise your husband will really die!" Lisa didn't know whether to laugh or cry as he hugged her. As he entertained Jennie's uncontrollable emotions, he experienced her fears.

Lisa could only hug her back, but his eyes were full of tenderness.

Jennie quickly let him go and looked up to see his eyes full of affection for her. She happily pursed her lips and looked around.

"Where are Leo and Lily?"

Lisa smiled and stood up. "These two little things are playing with their toys in the living room. They wake up very early. Luckily, I already know how to solve the problem of going to the toilet yesterday. Otherwise, I have to wake you up again."

Jennie chuckled a little and got off the bed. "What time is it? Why are you waking me up now? I already said that I would accompany you to the amusement park today."

"Even if we go to the amusement park early, we will not be able to play many games. I didn't wake you up early because you need to have a lot of energy for today's activities." Lisa explained calmly.

Jennie went to the bathroom to clean up before changing her clothes. She noticed that Leo and Lily had been taken cared of by Lisa this morning.

Leo's outfits were mostly a combination of blue and black, while Lily's were pink and grey. Lisa really learned how to prepare his children. It looks like he will be able to become a full-time father sooner than expected.

After breakfast, Jennie went to put jackets on her children. When she came out, she saw Lisa holding his car keys in one hand and looking through the business magazines on the coffee table with the other.

She walked over and saw that he was looking at the latest developments of Manoban Group under the new acting CEO.

Jennie sat next to Lisa and he offered his arm for her to lean on. She happily clinged to him.

She looked down at the page he was reading. "What's wrong? Is there a problem? I heard that he was pretty good but was a bit too overbearing when it came to handling things. He clearly owes you a favor, but after taking the CEO's position, he immediately changed all the systems you had previously set. Although the change was not too great, it still erases all traces of you."

Lisa smiled and patted her shoulder, laughing as he said, "This is not overbearing, but a principle that belongs to one person only. Previously, my reputation in the company was good enough, and if he wanted to achieve something in a few years and gain his employees' support, he had to do something about it. This is common sense in the business society."

Jennie nodded her head, "I understand, but it's possible everyone has an initial idea. Sometimes, when I'm thinking about it, I feel very uncomfortable. He almost covers up all your accomplishments, deliberately showing off in front of the media to get more support. This can also be considered a selfish intention, right? Sigh. Who asked you to be my husband?"
