Leo and Lily somehow woke up. The two little things were quietly standing at the door with their eyes wide open, staring at them.

After all, Leo and Lily were still too young and didn't understand anything. But Jennie was a little embarrassed, so she pushed Lisa away, straightened her pajamas and carried Lily before she looked at Leo, who was standing there obediently. "Why aren't you two sleeping? When did you wake up?"

Laughing happily, Lily grabbed Jennie's hair, holding it in her hand, and said, "Mommy, big brother was pretending to fall asleep. He said he wants to sleep with mommy.? Mommy, mommy, Lily also wants to sleep with dada and mommy."

Jennie was still out of breath.

"What should I do?" She asked while looking at Lisa with a flushed face.

Lisa sighed and stood up. He walked over and carried Leo in his arms. Then he gestured to Jennie with his chin, ordering her to bring Lily to bed as well.

"I just came back. It's rare that the children want to sleep together with me. Carry them over." As he spoke, he stroked Leo's head. His eyes filled with love and patience.

Yes, they were only two children under the age of three and the father had just returned, so he could not disappoint them.

Besides, Leo's possessiveness towards his mother was so strong. He had been staring at Jennie all this time because he was afraid that his father would rob his mother. However, he didn't know that his mother belonged to his father, to begin with.

Jennie nodded and went to bed. She put Lily on the bed and turned to see Lisa. She had guilt in her eyes. Leo and Lily happily lying in the middle of the bed together, smiling as they stretch out their chubby hands towards their parents.

"Lis, I'm sorry. In these two years, the kids are so attached to me. Leo and Lily usually sleep with me." Jennie looked at him with unparalleled guilt.

"Jen."

Lisa smiled and caressed her hair before patting her on the shoulder, "Why do you have to apologize? You don't have to feel so guilty about me. Back then, when we're divorced, I never thought it was your fault. Any normal person won't be able to calm down when faced with the so-called 'truth'. You have done very well. Don't blame yourself anymore, hmm?"

After that, he tidied up his robe with a pained expression. "It's not your fault tonight, it's my fault. I was too eager."

Jennie couldn't help but laugh, her face blushing red.

Lisa chuckled, "Lie down. I'll turn off the lights."

When Jennie finally laid down, Lisa walked over to the bedside table and turned off the bedside light. After a few seconds, he lay down next to her and hugged her.

He kissed her lightly.

Was Lisa trying to continue, or was it just a goodnight kiss?

At this moment, Leo, who was lying next to Jennie, suddenly woke up. With his eyes wide open, he crawled from Jennie's body and arrogantly lay between Lisa and her.

Lily also followed her older brother and crawled between the two of them. She then said with a smile, "Lily wants to sleep with mommy and dada, right in the middle!"

The helplessness in Lisa's eyes was intertwined with his fatherly love towards his children. Under the moonlight shining from the window, he appeared exceptionally gentle.

Lisa lightly patted the two children on the head.

"Mhmm, mommy and dada are not allowed to hug each other secretly. Big brother and I will be squeezed inside!" Lily got up and blinked her big doe eyes.

At this moment, Leo, who had the domineering action of snatching away his mother, didn't say anything. He just nodded his head in agreement.

Jennie looked at Lisa, who looked back at her, and then, she burst out laughing, Lisa sighed and extended his long arm to patted Jennie's head. He was holding the three of them in his arms.

"Go to sleep."

Seeing that her eyes were full of fatigue, Lisa kissed her forehead again. Even though his eyes were still dark, he had no choice but to give up temporarily because of his children.

Today's journey and experience made him feel like he had spent more than a year with three of them.

Jennie was also really tired, but she couldn't bear to close her eyes, She was staring at Lisa, who was sleeping beside her and their children. The bedside lamp had already turned off, and only the faint moonlight shone throughout the room.

Lisa smilingly patted her shoulder. "Stop looking at me. Go to sleep. Tomorrow is the weekend. You have to wake up early, I plan to take our children out to play."

Jennie then closed her eyes with a smile. One of her hands rested on Leo's and Lily's small bodies, while her other hand, held Lisa's hand that was on her hair.

Not long after, she slowly fell asleep.

After sleeping for an unknown time, even though her two children were no longer used to waking up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet, Jennie still woke up on time every morning at 3:30 a.m. She opened her eyes and glanced at her children who were sleeping next to her, then suddenly raised her eyes to see that Lisa was still awake.

"Why are you awake?" He asked casually.

"What time is it? Why haven't you slept yet?" Jennie sat up, and seeing Leo and Lily sleep soundly, she pulled the blanket to their neck to prevent them from catching the flu.

Then she rolled over and got out of bed. "You can't sleep? I'll make you a glass of hot milk then. Hopefully, it will help you sleep."

"No need." Lisa quickly held her hand. "It's not that I can't sleep, but I don't want to sleep. Why did you wake up? Go to sleep."

Jennie frowned and put her hand on his forehead. "Do you feel uncomfortable somewhere? If you are not well, let me know. There's a small private hospital open near Greenville Residence. The environment is not bad, and the medical facilities are also very good."

Seeing her making a fuss, Lisa smiled helplessly. He knew that Jennie had been worried about him. She was afraid that he would die, afraid that his body would not fully recover, so he pulled her hand away and said lowly, as not to wake the children. "I want to watch you and our children sleeping. I don't feel sleepy at all. If I can't fall asleep, I will read the newspaper. Don't worry, okay?"

"But ..."

Jennie was just worried about his health. Seeing her concerned gaze, Lisa just smiled and said, "I'm just afraid that once I wake up, I'll still be surrounded by emptiness. Neither you nor the children will be by my side."

His admittance caused Jennie's heart to tighten. She immediately lay on his body and hugged his neck tightly, "That won't happen. Lis, as long as you don't leave us, we will always be with you. I will never push you away again!"

Listening to her words, Lisa simply patted her shoulder. Perhaps he was afraid of disturbing the children, and all he did was kiss her lightly on the head. "Alright, let's go back to sleep. I'm going to sleep as well."

Jennie nodded. After seeing him switch off the bedside lamp again, she gently crawled to the other side of the children and lay down.
