When Jennie heard that he finally agreed, she wasn't happy. She just quietly leaned into his embrace, tears flowing down her face onto his shirt.
Lisa saw her tears and sighed as he wiped it for her. He then took a bowl of porridge and held it to his chest. He scooped up a spoonful of porridge and brought it to her mouth again. "Eat first. I'll sign it after you're done eating."
Jennie gently turned her head away and said in a weak voice, "But the agreement, you already destroyed it."
Lisa frowned and looked at her deeply. "I know you have saved it on your laptop. I'll go back to my study and print it out again. Can you eat it now?"
Jennie held back her tears as she slowly looked at him and asked, "Lisa, are you blaming me for being so ruthless?"
Lisa just stared at her mouth, "Don't talk about this. Let's eat first."
Jennie sniffed and obediently opened her mouth. The moment the warm porridge entered her mouth, she covered her aching nose. She wanted to vomit.
Lisa's expression was tense. He just watched as she ate, patiently feeding one bite at a time, as if nothing was more important for him than letting her eat something.
When the bowl of porridge was almost empty, Jennie rubbed her stomach. "I'm full. I haven't eaten for a few days. If I suddenly eat too much, my stomach won't be able to take it anymore. Let's do what you have promised first."
Lisa didn't say anything. He put down the bowl and wiped her mouth. Although there was no trace of food in her mouth, he wiped it for her. The truth was he was wiping the tears in the corner of her mouth.
Jennie leaned against his chest without moving, as if she was enjoying this final moment of gentleness. She had achieved her goal, but her heart felt bitter.
On the other hand, Lisa did not hold her for too long. He helped her lean against the headboard. After that, he stood up and left.
"Lisa." Jennie called out his name.
Lisa stopped in front of the bedroom door and turned to look at her. He said, "I'm going to print the divorce agreement."
His voice was as if he was speaking to a complete stranger, but the words that followed were even more distant and indifferent than when they first met a year ago.
Jennie looked at his back as he walked out. In the end, she made it to this step.
'Jennie oh, Jennie, your life is really miserable. The happiness that you have has been destroyed with your own hands.'

Jennie was standing in front of the French window and looked at the view outside. A doctor had already come to check on her body. He advised her to eat more nutritious food and take care of herself more.
Jennie had just eaten a bowl of porridge and although she didn't faint anymore, her strength was still not as good as usual. She didn't know how long Lisa was going to spend his time in the study room, but since he had already promised her, she didn't have to urge him anymore.
Jennie told Sister Yanmei to go home first and when she heard Lisa walk downstairs, she slowly raised her eyes but didn't turn around to look at him.
From the window's reflection, Jennie could see Lisa placed the recently printed divorce agreement on the coffee table. He took a pen and signed on it in front of her.
After he had signed the agreement, he pushed another few documents on the coffee table and in a bland voice he said, "I agree to divorce you, but with your big stomach right now, it's really inconvenient for you to walk around and cause trouble everywhere. We previously did not set up the so-called premarital assets, so Greenville Residence will belong to you. You can stay here. I promise that no one from the Manoban Family will come and disturb you."
"This is not a charity. I know you are strong and don't want to receive anything from the Family, but Greenville Residence doesn't belong to them. It belongs to me and now, it belongs to the babies in your womb. Even if you don't want it, your children need a stable place to live. If you don't want to live here anymore, you can sell it and take the money. At the very least, it can ensure your own life and the lives of the children."
He then placed the bank card on the coffee table. "I promise that I will never appear before you again, but you must keep this card. Not for your own benefit but for the sake of your children."
Jennie held back the pain in her heart and walked towards him. She pushed the card back to him. "I will live in this house. I really can't go anywhere right now and I need a safe place to live until I go into labor. I don't want this money. Lisa, our marriage took an unusual path from the beginning, how can I take your money after we divorced?"
Lisa didn't take the card or listen to what she said. He just got up, no longer looking at her. He took his coat and walked towards the door before gently saying, "I will leave H City as soon as possible. I don't want you to hear my name again and again. Without my permission, no one from the Manoban Family can enter Greenville Residence. You can stay here in peace, and if you need help, find Jisoo. Even if I leave, she won't leave Manoban Group."
Jennie's heart ached. She looked at his indifferent back and asked, "What plans do you have for the future? Are you sure you want to leave H City? Will the Family allow you to leave just like that? You don't have to make things difficult for yourself. There's no need for you to do this."
Lisa only stopped for a moment and did not turn back. He silently pushed open the door and walked out.
Starting from this moment, he would never appear in front of her and her life again.
Jennie slumped onto the couch, allowing her tears to flow freely.

Two days later, V knocked on Jennie's door. As soon as he entered, he saw her standing alone in the bathroom, in a daze.
The washing machine was still spinning in front of her.
V quickly approached. "Why are you washing clothes? Where's Sister Yanmei?"
Jennie came back to reality. Previously, V said he was coming over, so she made some food for him and washed her clothes while waiting. After hearing his voice, she turned around and smiled at him. "You're here? I've stewed some of your favorite beans. Go and eat it. I'll join you after I've washed my clothes."
V grabbed her hand. "You have a big stomach now, why are you washing your own clothes?"
"I almost became a fool if I had nothing to do during the day, and I don't have much on me anyway. I just want to find some things to do, and I don't want to trouble Sister Yanmei with this small task. Besides, she was hired by the Family back then, and I don't need her to come back to work for me anymore." Jennie smiled.
V looked at her face that was filled with smiles, and raised his eyebrows. "Are you going to fire her?"
Jennie slowly lowered her eyes. She yanked her hand away from V's and hurriedly replied, "Yes."
She then pressed the drain button. The sound of water splashes could be heard. Jennie just looked at the washing machine without saying a word.
There were some red things in the washing machine. Some time ago, she had bought a loose red maternity gown, which had just been washed. It may have been soaked for too long and lost its color.
She didn't like the color, and fortunately, she didn't have much time to use it.
People said that getting married was actually a very complicated process. There were a lot of people who had to go through a lot of things before they could get married to the person they loved. However, a divorce only requires a few agreements, signatures, and a notary.
