It may have been too late for Nancy to grow up at the time, but that didn't mean she couldn't change and had no right to regret it.

Nancy didn't say anything and just looked at them silently. After so long, she closed her eyes and tears fell from the corners of her eyes. Too many feelings of unwillingness changed into helpless grief.

As they exited the ward, Lisa said something to the policewomen and the people guarding the prison seriously. Once these people entered the ward and when the door was closed, Jennie couldn't help but stand on her tiptoes and hugged Lisa's neck tightly with both her arms.

Lisa was stunned by her sudden hug. He then sighed softly and smiled as he hugged her waist. His hand moved slowly to pat her shoulder.

"Lis, thank you." Jennie's face was buried deep in his neck as she spoke in a low voice. She didn't let go of him, instead, she hugged him more tightly, as if she was afraid that he would disappear from her life one day.

"Silly girl." His gaze was gentle. Lisa patted her shoulder gently before pulling her arm down, making her stand in front of him.

He then looked at her red eyes and laughed. "You are already a mother of two children, yet you're crying like a child. Aren't you afraid those two little things will laugh at you?"

"They dare!" Jennie burst into laughter as she happily leaned into his embrace once more. "It's a woman's privilege to shed tears in front of her husband. What, you want to forfeit this special privilege?"

"Privilege." Lisa laughed and put his arm around her shoulder, saying seriously, "Since this is a wife's privilege, then your husband will obey. You can cry now, but when the children ask later, don't say that I am bullying you."

"Lisa, why is your mouth getting less romantic." Jennie smiled helplessly and hit his chest with her hand.

Lisa just smiled and kissed her cheek,

At this moment, at the foot of the stairs, Leo waved a cotton candy in his hand and called his parents.

"Mommy, dada!" Lily is also waving her cotton candy and ran excitedly towards Jennie.

Jennie smiled.

"The cotton candy that Auntie Tan bought for me and big brother is really delicious and sweet. Mommy, dada, do you want it?"

Lisa smiled as he caressed her small head and bent down to pick her up.

He held her plump body in his arms and said in a soft voice, "Eat it slowly. Remember, when you're eating, don't run. If not, your stomach will ache. Do you understand?"

"Okay dada. You're not like mommy. If it were mommy, she wouldn't let big brother and me eat this candy." Lily blinked her big eyes innocently. Then she said with a face full of worship towards Lisa. "Mommy can only say ..."

Lily pretended to pinch her waist with one hand, while holding a cotton candy with the other and said with wide eyes, "Mommy will say, 'Lily Manoban, you little brat! Can't you eat the candy a little? In the future, you will be a person with tooth decay. Sugar is not good food, you better eat less and learn to eat more nutritious food, just like your big brother!"

Lisa's eyebrows were slightly raised. After watching Lily's dramatic acts, he shifted his gaze to Jennie, whose lips were twitching. A smile that was not a smile appeared on his face.

"Lily Manoban, how dare you imitate your mother." Jennie raised her hand and was about to smack Lily's little ass.

Lily screamed in fear and hid her head in Lisa's chest. She shook the cotton candy in her hand and muttered, "Doesn't the TV say that adults and kids should eat more vegetables? Mommy always eats meat!"

"You, spoiled girl." Jennie held out her hand and wanted to take her from Lisa.

However, Lisa moved away slightly and smiled as he turned to look at her. "She's right, you know."

Jennie's eyelids twitched as well. She rolled her eyes and said, "You father and daughter have joined hands to deal with me now! Good, very good. If this continues in another twenty years, when I have menopause, see if I don't make you angry to death."

Lisa just smiled and patted Lily's back casually, and said gently, "Be good, mommy can't eat meat when she's young, so she likes to eat meat when she's an adult. She's not like you, who can eat anything you want."

After hearing what he said, Jennie calmed her anger. She snorted coldly and then bent down to pick Leo, who stood obediently at her side. With her back facing Lisa, she said, "I'll count it as you saying something kind, but ..."

She's narrowing her eyes at him. "Why do I feel so uncomfortable hearing your words?"

Lisa smiled meaningfully, then walked leisurely while hugging Lily in his arms.

"Hey, Lisa Manoban, explain yourself clearly!"

Jennie caught up to him in a hurry.

The car stopped in front of the Kim Family's Residence. Just as Jennie got out of the car, she suddenly realized there was another car parked next to her.

Seeing two people standing on the side of the car, they had a soldier-like temperament.

Who were they?

While Jennie was confused, Lisa looked at Secretary Tan and signaled something at her. He then walked towards Jennie and said in a low voice that only she could hear, "Looks like Senior Zhou is here."

Jennie was stunned. She turned around to look at Lisa. He didn't seem to be making wild allegations.

She frowned and again looked at the two men there, then looked at the house in front of her.

"Why is he here? He clearly promised me that he would never bother our life anymore. He said that he would return to the United States to accompany Niki and Bella. He also didn't go out of his way to look for my mother's whereabouts, so I didn't intentionally hide my mother's residence from the public." Jennie's eyes turned slightly cold as she started to walk towards the house.

"Jennie." Seeing that she was a little angry, Lisa lightly held her hand. His black eyes looked at her and said in a low voice, "That person coming here is a guest. First, find out why he came here."

"I know, you don't have to tell me that. He's been looking for my mom for years. After finding out where she is, he won't be able to refrain himself from visiting. It's just that, since he promised me, I thought he would fulfill it." Jennie bit her lip and sighed. "Actually, it's better to face it. We can't avoid it forever. Even if I don't want to admit this blood relationship, I can't stop it either. But my mom, is she willing to meet Senior Zhou? What attitude will she have when she sees him? What will happen to her then?"
