Two months later.

Jennie was typing a report for a press release tomorrow when the company's new employee, Ye Jiao, mysteriously knocked on the door and entered the room.

Jennie sorted her report before looking at Ye Jiao's hand, which was full of pictures.

"Jen, look at what's in my hand." Ye Jiao said while placing a stack of pictures on her desk.

After she put down the pictures, Ye Jiao asked Jennie what she wanted for lunch. That's the question that made Jennie feel a headache every day. Far more disturbing than the pile of papers in her hand.

Jennie lowered her head and looked down at the pictures. Her gaze paused for a moment, then, she looked at Ye Jiao, who knew nothing about her past, with a face full of suspicion.

Ye Jiao leaned against her desk and said, "Jen, wasn't it not long ago when Jung Group underwent a major overhaul? Today, I was at the airport taking pictures of the new supervisor from Jung Group and wanted to interview him, but look, who did I found? It's the legendary Lisa Manoban!"

"Look! Look at how this angle of the photo was taken. I know this can't be posted, so I'll bring it back for you. Look at President Manoban, he's so handsome. Eh, who's the person next to him?"

Jennie raised her head to look at her and smiled. "You've been quite idle these past two days, haven't you?"

Upon hearing that this was a sign that her boss would be angry, Ye Jiao immediately stopped gossiping. The corners of her mouth twitched, and at last, she took back the photos and stuffed them into her pocket like a treasure.

"Well, it seems that I have to stricter the rules in this company. Otherwise, the newbies like you will start to get lazy!" Jennie pushed the signed document in front of her.

Ye Jiao pouted and left in the blink of an eye.

"Jen, President Manoban returned to H City today." In the evening, after work, Rosé entered Jennie's office while she was clearing her desk.

Rosé seemed to be waiting for Jennie to leave work with her, but in reality, she was looking for an opportunity to say those words.

Jennie's hand that was cleaning the desk suddenly stopped. She raised her head and looked at Rosé's glowing eyes.

Rosé knew that Jennie didn't want to talk about Lisa, so she quickly said, "Jen, when someone can't hear someone's name, it means she still has a deep love for that person. Although I don't know why you and President divorced, but since he already returned, why don't you see him?"

Jennie didn't say anything. She was just quietly packing things on her desk.

"Rosé, love cannot be forced. Love not only teaches you the meaning of pain but can also teach you many things, such as how to deal with life's problems and how to deal with your emotions." Jennie told her before she got up and walked towards the elevator.

Rosé followed behind her in silence.

Jennie did not go straight home. Instead, she went to Beidou Avenue and bought two sets of cute and comfortable children's clothing, as well as two sets of toys suitable for a one-year-old child.

When Jennie returned to Greenville Residence, the sky was already dark. Because the street lights in the residential area were currently being repaired, only a few lights were still on, causing the area to be a bit dim.

In front of the two-story house where she lived, a familiar black Land Rover was already parked there.

The light to the Land Rover was not switched on, and it stopped quietly at her window.

Jennie tried her best to squint her eyes, but she couldn't see the license plate. However, when she saw that it was a Land Rover, she couldn't help but shiver uncontrollably.

Could it be him?

Did he come to see the children?

Why didn't he call her?

Even though they had divorced, if he wanted to see his children, she wouldn't have refused him in the doorway. With his character, how can he come without making a phone call?

Jennie looked down at her cell phone under the residential street light, but no calls were missed.

Thus, she decided to put down her phone and continued walking. Jennie tilted her head to look at the car's plate number. Then, she finally saw the familiar plate number through the light reflected in the window of her house.

Instinctively, Jennie looked around. The inside of the car was dark, and she couldn't see anyone. She looked around suspiciously. Could it be that he hadn't told her but had already entered the house?

Jennie remembered how Lisa looked when he left her more than a year ago. The words he said and his expression, as if he never wanted to see her again in this life.

Jennie didn't know how to describe her current feelings. A person's heart was always wandering around, and a person's emotions would always rise up to a point where even they couldn't understand it.

Jennie looked at the big and small bags in her hand and stood outside the door to think for a long time. Then, she took out the key and opened the door to enter.

Before she could take out the key, the door of the Land Rover opened, and Lisa got off. Under the light from the car's interior, Jennie saw his expression was as calm as ever as he looked at her with his black eyes.

Stunned, she opened her mouth, not knowing what to say.

Lisa slammed the door behind him, and for a moment, it was dark again, just as it had been between them.

"You came back so late?" He said, his voice a little hoarse.

"I just got paid two days ago, so I left work early today to go buy some toys and some new clothes for my children." Jennie answered truthfully.

"I'm sorry, Jennie. I just want to see my children. I won't disturb your life."

Suddenly, the lights in the area were on. Jennie could finally see his face. There was a slight redness in the eyes. He looked like he was drinking too much, but he was still calm.

How did Jennie not know that Lisa wanted to see the children? Whenever Old Man wanted to see the children, Jia would keep him away. Even though Sister Yanmei was dismissed, Jennie was kind enough to be polite to her whenever she came to Greenville Residence every two months to take care of the children. Every time she came, Sister Yanmei would secretly carry a camera with her.

"No worries, you are Leo and Lily's father, I have no reason not to let you see them." Jennie answered anxiously, but her voice was choked with sobs.
