You rub your eyes as you walk to the kitchen. A scuffling woke you up and you needed to check on it since Jenna is usually not a light sleeper.

You find Jenna in her light pink nightgown looking through the medicine cupboard. You notice she's not standing upright, slightly hunched over.

"Hey, why you up so early?" You ask, squinting your eyes because of the light.

"Sorry for waking you, y/n." Jenna responds grabbing a pill and drinks it. "I woke up with some stomach cramps."

"I'm sorry." You coo. "Did you remember what you ate that could've caused it?"

"Not a hundred percent sure, but right now I just want to lie down." Jenna shuts her eyes, the pain prominent on her face. "Standing up right is taking up too much energy."

"Go back to bed." You walk over to the kettle and start to boil it. "I'll make you a cup of tea to ease the cramps."

"Y/n you don't have to. You have an early morning tomorrow."

"Just go lie down." You instruct. "I'll bring a hot water bottle too."

Jenna hesitates, but quietly goes back to bed.

You get the chamomile tea bag and pour the boiled water in the cup. The steam rising to your face after you mixed the sugar in.

You carefully walk to Jenna's dark room and place the cup on her bedside table.

"Don't you want the light on?" You ask, worried she might spill the hot tea.

"No don't." She responds quickly, taking the cup and blowing it cool. "I want to get back to sleep soon."

"Okay, I'll put on the lamp at least and get the hot water bottle." You go back to the kitchen. You fill the bottle with boiled water and press out the excess air before closing it tightly.

You walk back to her side.
"Here you go." You put the bottle on top of the blanket close to her stomach so she doesn't burn.

"Ah, that feels good." Jenna closes her eyes in appreciation. "Thank you so much y/n. It really helps."

"Let me know if you need anything ok." You say before reaching her door. "I'm just a phone call away."

"No, wait. Where are you going?" She stops you.

"Back to bed." You respond and walk a bit closer to her bed again. "Something wrong?"

"No..."

You look at her. Her forehead slightly damp from the pain. Her eyes revealing that she doesn't want to be left alone. She wants help.

"Do you want me to stay with you?" You ask.

"Yeah, if that's ok with you."

"It's ok Jenna." You give her a tired smile. "Move up."

You grab some tissues before climbing into bed, feeling the cool sheet underneath you. Jenna turns off the lamp after taking a few sips of her tea.

"Thank you." Jenna says going deeper under the blankets.

As soon as she's settled, you gently wipe away the sweat on her forehead with the tissue. "How's your stomach feeling now?"

"The pain is still there but it's starting to ease." Jenna tries to shift the hot water bottle. "It's a little hot."

You move the bottle away from her stomach. "Mind if I rub some circles?"

Jenna hesitates. "Yeah, sure."

She takes your hand and guides you underneath the blankets to her stomach. You feel the warm, soft texture of her long soft pajama top.

You start to rub gentle, slow circles.

You can't really see Jenna's facial expressions, but you can tell her eyes are closed.

You feel yourself getting drowsy from the movement alone.

Just when you think she's dosed off after a few minutes she says: "I'm lucky to have you in my life."

You stop rubbing. You didn't know what to say to those words. You were never really good with affectionate words.

"Go to sleep Jenna." You try to close your eyes.

"I'm serious." You can sense her eyes are trying find yours in the darkness.

"I just want you to feel better that's all."

"I'm grateful for that." You tell she's got a smile on her face.

You smile quietly in the darkness. Even unwell, Jenna always knows how to make you feel special.

You continue to rub circles until she's fallen asleep.

"I'm grateful for you." You whisper with a smile.
