A/N: Sorry for such a short chapter...

The dwarf prince stood in the middle of the town square with meer confidence and pride. As we all lower to one knee to greet him. When we all stand up he only nods, that's when I start studying him. His face serious it almost looked as if he were scowling. He was handsome though with a glimmer in his light blue eyes. My heart started pounding very fast, maybe it was because I became so attracted to him. His hair was dark; pulled halfway back with braids hanging by each of his ears. My eyes then traveled to his dark blue attire then back up to his face again. His beard was braided as well, everything about him was so precise and clean.

It's just like in all the tales I've heard, Thorin is actually quite tall for a dwarf. In fact he's probably even taller than me. I watch him as he starts walking down the road not saying a word to anyone. Slowly everyone goes back to what they were doing before.

"He doesn't seem very friendly, come on Ardy." Milly says pulling him off somewhere. I can't seem to pull my eyes from the royalty walking down the street. He puts his hands behind his back as he walks. Milly calls my name but I just ignore her, still staring at Thorin. I'm not even trying to be subtle about it. As he walks past me his eyes burn into mine making me shiver, it's an ice cold stare. So I put my head down and curtsy, when I look up I see the slightest smile pull at his lips. Once he passes my focus goes back to my friends.

"Ed, you'll miss the fireworks!" Ardy yells. I make my way over to them, all three of us hook arms and go to watch fireworks. The colors are beautiful but my mind keeps going off to how handsome the dwarf prince is...
