Thorin runs after Dis and I down the halls. He is actually smiling and when he finally tags Dis he picks her up kissing her face which makes her a little mad. When he puts her down she doesn't hesitate starting to run after me. "Thorin!" I scream, a laugh following it. I turn back to find him leaning against the wall smirking. She starts giggling behind me.
"Almost got you!" My lungs start to burn after awhile. She finally tugs on my dress. "Haha, got you!"
I turn around and start running back after her. She shrieks, as we run back to where Thorin is standing his brother is now beside him. My side is in searing pain but I don't stop running. When I tag her she then goes after Thorin, I stop trying to catch my breath. She finally gets him and he starts barreling towards me again. My hands goes to my side and I stop, why do my ribs have to ruin everything?
"Stop..." I say huffing.
"You need rest Edlyn." He quickly says. I bend over trying to catch my breath.
"No, I can play." I start to run again, he smiles and runs after me. I look back laughing, his face hen grows serious and he stops. I look in front of me to find the king standing a few feet away from me. He just walks past me not saying a word.
"Foolish, Thorin!" He yells, it echoes through the halls. "You should be in bed Dis!" I watch as their heads drop. My heart melts. "And do something with that girls hair, she is princess of Erebor!" He just continues walking and yelling.
"It won't happen again Grandfather." Thorin says.
"No it won't and apologize to your father!" I walk back to where Thorin and Dis are. I push Dis's long, stringy brown hair out of her face.
"Come on sweetie, let's go fix your hair." I hold my hand out and she grabs it.
"Don't worry about it, you need to go and lay back down." Thorin says from behind me. I turn around. "Frerin will take care of it." I look back at Dis and kiss her head.
"You are no filth to me," I whisper. "I'm sorry words just came out, I got angry." She smiles.
"I accept your apology." With that I then follow Thorin back to the room.
