Thorin and I walk to the grand hall together. "May I see Dis?" I finally ask.
"I think it'd be best if you did not."
"Please?" He gives me a mean look.
"No." Anger starts building up in me. I stop walking and just stand there, he stops a few feet in front of me.
"Why? Why won't you let me see her!?" I yell. He turns to me, I drop my cloak bringing my hands to my face. He grabs my hands bringing them down revealing my tears.
"Cause I know how attached you've become with her. We must go Edlyn." He let's go of one of my hands but doesn't let go of the other. He picks the cloak up for me. We walk quietly hands interlocked to the large gates of Erebor. Once they're open he let's go of my hand and climbs on a large ram. He holds his hand out to me as he helps me on to the animals back. Of course I sit sideways so I feel like I'm going to fall off. "Grab my side."
I place my hands on his side gripping his coat tight. Then I slide my arm all the way around to his stomach along with the other interlocking my fingers. I then lay the side of my head on his back, it doesn't at all help my aching side but I'm not in a great mood. "I apologize if I'm making you uncomfortable."
"No...I'd rather you be comfortable." He quickly says. I can feel that his breathing has become a little more ragged. Once we start for Dale my side burns more and more at every gallop but I don't care. I squeeze my eyes shut trying to ignore it. Before I know it we're stopped and I open my eyes. I let go of Thorin so he can get off the ram. I sit up as he slides down and then holds his hand out to me, I grab it as he helps me down. The guards escort the ram to the stables as we walk into Dale.
"Edlyn!" I turn to see my father. We run to each other and hug.
"I'm sorry I left..." I whisper.
"I knew where you went Lyn." He chuckles in my ear.
"I won't do it again..."
"I don't care what you do, you're an adult." I pull away from him and he has a large smile on his face. "Your mother was adventurous like that."
"I love you dad, I'm going to have Thorin accompany me home. I'll see you there in a few." I kiss him on the cheek then I turn back to Thorin.
